Magic box, almost don't understand how it works
This thing doesn't require any drainage of water. You just have to change the pellets every 6 months or so depending on usage.Food waste goes in, compost comes out, doesn't smell and can be used indoors. It truly feels like a magic box and I still don't understand where the water goes because it doesn't have any visible vents and it doesn't feel humid around the box. Was bought for us as a present, and we in turn were so impressed we also bought it as a present for others. Can't recommend enough!

Worked great for 6 months and then completely broke
6 Month Update: Totally stopped working. I have gone through all of the troubleshooting steps to no avail. Seems like others have the same problem within the same timeframe. Wish I didn't purchase this product for it to stop working so soon.I was hesitant to buy this at first because I wondered how well it would actually work, how limited it would be on the food waste it can take, etc. I have been blown away. It is small, looks chic, fits neatly into the corner of our kitchen counter, has no odor, and runs very quietly when it is on (about a third to a quarter of the noise as a dishwasher). On top of that, it has been able to process nearly everything I have thrown at it--meat, egg shells, melon rinds, bread--even dead flowers and plants. After a few hours I've got a bucket of dirt that I use in my flower beds and inside planters. Not only that, but because there's no food sitting in the trash, we don't have fruit flies anymore. The only thing I would say to be careful of is if you have a pet (we have a dog), they will smell the dirt initially as food and might try to eat it. Our dog did this once so whenever we put the dirt on our inside planters, I sprinkle cayenne on top of it and we haven't had an issue since.

Easy to use
We've had ours for 8 months without a problem. With use one discovers what best NOT to include: it will do for instance, banana peels, even bananas but leave a heavy film on the basket so we don't put bananas in or melons. Melons are mostly water - they take up a lot of room but shrink down to almost nothing so we don't put either of these in the composter. I saw a picture here of someone who reported that it didn't dry out the waste. Either there was too much water or goo or the heating unit was defective because it says specifically you cannot put things like soup or liquids into the composter. Put in just things like vegetable peelings, egg shells, coffee grinds and things that are listed on the booklet. See if it works then. You wouldn't put in batter or sugary items either. Having said this - our "filter" light is blinking. The charcoal seems fine so I'm not sure what we are supposed to do. It's working fine though. I would definitely recommend this composter.

It's OK
Had to replace filters within 2 weeks and after replacing I see I will have to replace them frequently. But the device but she works really well.

Wonderfully satisfying and fun!
This machine is so fun. It's large enough to handle up to a week's worth of scraps for our family. It looks elegant and is simple to use. The bucket is really easy to clean, just wipe it out with a damp cloth after each use. And the smell of the fresh mulch is wonderful! We keep a bin beside the machine to collect our scraps throughout the week. That way the machine doesn't get moldy waiting to be run.Be sure to chop hard pieces (like tomato vines) or stringy scraps (like celery) into smaller chunks so you don't jam the machine. But if it does get stuck, it just stops and you simply clean it out in the morning. Also if you notice an odd smell when it's running, it simply needs a filter change. Charcoal pellets are available by the bag, so that's cheap and easy, too!I've had this about 8 months and still love it. It's a quality product!

It's a Hit!
I bought this for my 33 yo son and his "highly selective" wife, and they both love it! My son's face when he opened it after it had been processing, and he saw that he had made his own fertilized "dirt" was priceless. It's like he was 6 yo again and made something with his own hands. And since then there's literally never a time when it's not in use. This is a great product.

Some unexpected option after 6 mns
Bought it in Nov'24 and it doesn't work well enough as it did in the beginning. I used it very carefully, but a month ago it burned the stuff and the bottom of the bin was spoiled.the food also doesn't dried and burned as well as 6 months ago.In general it is ok to have

Not built to last
UPDATE: it worked great at first, and I was loving it. I clean it regularly and after one of the cleaning cycles I placed scraps in like I normally do and hit start. It acted like it was going to run, but when I woke up to empty it. The scraps were still and they’re like I left them. I insured everything was cleaned out and put back in place and tried it again and it just spins like it is going to run and when I check it the next morning the food is still the same way I left it. I reached out to support but have yet to hear from them. Any ideas?I have only used it once and ran it when I was sleeping so I’m not sure how long it took. All I know is I woke up and it looked like this. Definitely not loud, more like white noise which I’m fine with. This is so much easier than turning a compost every week and dealing it the mess of that. Love this so so much!!!
