Creative Haven Country Charm Coloring Book (Adult Coloring Books: In The Country)

Oh my goodness, if you love to color scenes, then you will go nuts for this book. I just got my book out of the mail box and can hardly wait to pick a picture to start on! I adore every picture in this book (thank you very much, Teresa Goodridge). All of the pictures are very homey, warm scenes. There are actually pictures for all four seasons of the year, too. I like to think of the pictures in this book as "the comfort food" of coloring. They are all so very warm and inviting. I will try to post some pictures later. The art in this book is printed single sided on bright white, perforated paper. The paper used by Creative Haven is nice enough to actually color on, though I would always use a blotter behind any page that I am working on. If you are looking for a book that just gives you warm fuzziest, then you just found it. I would rate this book for intermediate to advanced colorist.

I love the country/farm images. They’re high quality and provide a sense of co diet and relaxation as you color these. The pages are perforated and the paper is thick so you can use a variety of coloring devices: crayons, coloring pencils, markers or even watercolors. Lovely and I’m pleased with this coloring book!

Great series of coloring books

This quaint coloring book has some pros and cons. First the pros. - The pictures are fun - There is a nice balance of detailed and large open spaces -It is a joy to color -single sided pages -perferated pages Cons -On the first page, and several others, there are inconsistencies like: *missing table legs and part of a tree *inconsistent time-a lantern lit in what appears to be the daytime -on other pictures the perspective is off -the pages are on the thin side. All in all, this is a fun book. If you are looking for just a fun, relaxing coloring book, this is a good one.

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised when I received this coloring book. I got it for a great price but wasn't expecting to be as wowed as I was by the pages. I love that each page is filled in such a way that it's enjoyable to color it all but it never feels overwhelming to do so. I've found that (unless you're specifically looking for a book w/ lots of busy patterns, etc.) some books tend to put too much on a page and I lose interest halfway through the process because it's hard to tell what is what. I would definitely recommend this brand of coloring books and plan to purchase the rest of them in the future. :) Great for markers or colored pencils.

I love this book. Teresa Goodridge is such a great artist. I have learned so much about shading by following her subtle hints. I use colored pencils. I got the fall book also. It was hard to find good books to color. I lean towards conservative Christian books, but I've colored about as many shapes as I can stand. These pictures have substance with realism leaning towards artists conception. I was so excited to find them. I spend several hours almost every day coloring them. Before I had a stroke 2 years ago I drew my own pictures to color. I am an artist at heart. Someday I'll be able to draw my own again, I lack the control right now. In the meantime I'll be turning to Creative Haven.
