It works!
This works as advertised. Had to upgrade DP cables for my setup, but switching in and out of finnicky systems works, with no alteration in resolution or display recalibration. Excellent product.

Just don't bother
Company has a list of docks that work/don't work (or so they claim), however they don't link it on this page or their product page. Their support got quiet when I asked where this is linked on the product page. The EDID emulation doesn't work on SO MANY devices, i tried 4 different docks. They try recommending solutions that do not work, such as using another dock with a Surface Book 3, which btw doesn't have any Thunderbolt 3 ports, therefore that's not really a solution. My other dock, wow, keyboard and mouse and monitors kept losing their connectivity. For $500+, I shouldn't have to troubleshoot this device so much, I should be made fully aware of devices that work/don't work, and furthermore, I expect this to work with pretty much any device, otherwise why spend the money? Support is "responsive" but not helpful, unless you ask a question they don't want to tell you the answer to, then they get quiet.

My newest upgraded version of UDP2-12AP had been working perfectly with best in the class DDM tech.
The second unit I got months ago for my client had been working perfectly for one gaming desktop and one MBP M1/M2 to sharing with two monitors (one with 180hz , one with 165hz). The new upgraded model had improved in compatibility with high-refresh rate and high-resolution monitors, specially for DisplayPort 1.4/1.4a monitors. It also can work with Intel DP 2.1 GPU systems. The full-time EDID emulation and EDID feeding is still the only DP 1.4 KVM switch line can provide these functions to making the workflows on all connected systems uninterrupted. It's the most efficient and best in value KVM switch, I ever tested. Strongly recommended ! (update 11/06/2023) I got my new Dell UltraSharp U4920DW (49 inch (5120x1440)@60hz and Dell Latitude 5430. This KVM allows the user to have the Dual Quard HD (DQHD) screen shared with two different workflows on different connected systems/ laptops and provides visual clarity and ensures maximum productivity. Special DDM-cores do provide the fastest video switching and no latency switching for my gaming keyboard and gaming mouse installed. (update 12/17/2023) got a new LG 49-inch UltraGear DQHD (5120x1440)@240hz gaming monitor from Cyber Monday deal of Amazon tested and proofed this UDP2-12AP and UDP2-14AP both working seamlessly with 2 x 5K monitors (with Dell UltraSharp 5K). This is the best KVM switch supporting 5K240hz gaming monitors with DP 1.4DSC. (update 4/10/2024) For sharing 4K144hz/ 4K240hz or 5K120Hz, 5K240Hz ... all high-resolution and high-refresh-rate monitors, you must upgrade the DP-to-DP cables to DP2.1 VESA certified DP40 or DP80 (even better with DP80 rated cables) to get the best video performance with the advanced DP1.4 KVM switches.
