A little goes a long way
A little goes a long wayI got a huge bowl of soil from about 1/5 of the brick. Softens well and no crappy bits in it.I'm using it as soil substrate for my hamster to dig in, so I've dried it out before using.Hammy loves it & it's good enrichment for him.

Quality substrate at bargain price.
Lovely high quality substrate at excellent price. Got that nice earthy smell so you it good substrate. Big block with plenty of yeild once mixed with water. Nice enough to grow plants in to put in exotic animal encounters free of chemicals and pesticides. VERY happy with the purchase.

Humidity holding
One block is more than enough! Get a great amount.Perfect for holding humidity, mixed with forest bark and i can easily maintain a humidity of 90%.

Love it!!!! Filled up my juvenile crested gecko enclosure (30cmx30cmx45cm) with quite a lot left as well. Seems to hold the humidity quite well so far. Definitely will be repurchasing.

Can I use with Horsfield?
After doing some research to improve the soil for my tortoise, I decided to purchase one of these blocks. 'Coco coir is great for tortoises', 'they love it' etc. I specifically searched for one I can use with my Horsfield, this one came up in the results. Komodo - a good brand, have used their products before, not had a bad experience with them, thought I'd get this one.When it arrived on the side it says not suitable for Horsfields. Why? It's coco coir... I'm so confused now. Has anyone used this with theirs? I thought coco coir was just that.Amazon/Komodo/seller - Is there any chance, in your product information, the list of suitable and unsuitable animals (that is on the side of the block), can be included??So... at the minute, it's in the shed. Delivery was fine, price was reasonable. As for absorbency and ease of cleaning - I've not got a clue!
