ONE OF THE BEST CD BY STEVE

Needs more real instruments
I've just listened twice, once to the surround mix, and once to the stereo mix, both on blu ray. I haven't tried the CD yet. Some of the songs are really quite good, but it sounds like so much was composed in the computer or with keyboards and synths, and it therefore feels flat, lacking in human spontaneity, expression and crescendos and diminuendos.I think Peter Gabriel in his latest album jettisoned the computer sounds and had string players etc. bring the music to life as he realised how much better they were. I wish that Steve and Roger King had done the same. Then there is the age old problem of Steve not really being the greatest singer. This really could have been brilliant, but it ends up sounding like all the other albums by Steve and Roger. Soulless and disappointing.

Superb Album
I’m a big fan of Steve Hackett and this album is great. This particular purchase came with two cd’s of the album (one of which is a 5.1 surround sound). You won’t be disappointed if you buy this album.

Superb
This is a great prog album though encompassing many different styles and skills of Mr Hackett. There is some great music here backed up by his usual bandmates. Love the vocal harmonies. Brilliant!

2.0 good, 5.1 adequate
Embarrasing lyrics circumvent what maybe listenable music. The equivalent of brand new (aural) flock wallpaper at your local pub.Save your money and purchase any one of his three early solo albums.Seriously!!
