This is a first impression review out of the box. I’m new to inshore fishing and wanted to get my hands on some salt rated gear for not a lot of money, and the kapstan does not disappoint. There are very few spots for water intrusion, and while it’s smooth, it doesn’t seem like there are too many bearings to get jammed up with corrosion down the line. This reel looks great, with its black and blue theme, and the packaging kept it safe to my door. I can’t wait to put it to work on some flounder and trout!
