Great thickener. I bought this for my grandma as she is having trouble with swallowing. Now she can enjoy her favourite drink without coughing and in danger of choking. This is just the same as the expensive brands out there. Great value for money!

One has to use way more of this than the well-known one supplied on the NHS, which is not good. It’s also expensive, to boot!

As a speech therapist, who was working at the time with people who needed a thickener to drink safely, I taste tested several thickener brands. Thick n Easy was the worst tasting. They do have a ‘thick n easy CLEAR’ brand which wasn’t bad and was similar to the other ‘clear’ options. Only the thickener labeled as ‘clear’ were palatable. I saw many patients who opted not to drink with thickener, and just ‘risk feed’ because of the bad taste of this thickener as the hospital was only offering the regular thick n easy - and didn’t know there were better options. So in summary, it is better to look for a thickener that is ‘clear’ e.g. ‘Nutilis clear’ or ‘Thick and Easy Clear’ if you don’t want them to effect taste
