A Good Value Nerve Palsy Splint; Easy to Adjust, Excellent Wrist Support.
A more than adequate, off-the-shelf budget splint, the Pucka Radial Nerve Palsy Splint provides excellent support for the wrist and decent, acceptable support for the fingers. Further advantages are that it’s relatively easy to use and a comparatively good value in any price range; palsy splints can cost many times what the current price of the Pucka splint.A heads up on the provided directions; they are insubstantial and misleading. Basically, they suggest attaching the splint to your arm with the wide Velcro straps, then adjusting the finger tension. In reality, the adjustment of the finger tensions has to be done first, since the Velcro contact for them is under the arm strap. In fact, the arm strap is Velcro-ed over the finger band tabs, providing a more secure connection for both. You can observe this on the point-of- purchase page. In one of the pictures, the model’s fingers are pulling the finger band tab, but those that are already secured are under the arm band. Simply put, the arm bands must be removed, the finger bands pulled to the desired tension, then the arm bands re-secured to their desired location. The Pucka splint provides plenty of Velcro all around, making a correct, comfortable adjustment straightforward and secure. Tightening the wrist straps for optimal support makes them uncomfortable for all day use, requiring the need to loosen them every hour or so for relief; not uncommon among any type of brace. The fingers remain comfortable after finding the ideal position for the finger pads and correct tension. Overall, I would rate the comfort of the Pucka splint a 7 out of 10.There are many other injuries and conditions besides nerve palsy that can benefit from the kind of support provided by the Pucka splint. Although there are much more sophisticated, custom fitted nerve palsy splints, they are also much more expensive; making comparisons in this case wouldn’t serve the interest of fairness. In terms of value to cost, the Pucka Splint comes out ahead on value; if it’s what falls within your budget, you’re likely to feel well served.

Not good and NOT recommended.
I am a physician, so please believe me when I tell you to trust the negative reviews of this product. My occupational therapist recommended it to me. It is NOT comfortable. After about 15 minutes the circulation to my fingers was being cut off and my fingers started to turn blue. It is NOT easy to use, although not impossible either. Some printed instructions would have helped. It does NOT hold the fingers properly in an anatomic position. When my OT was here, she agreed with me entirely after trying every possible adjustment. She suggested I return it, and that's exactly what I did.

Easy to wear
I have an injured hand and due to the nerve injury in the hand my fingers have started to curl into a fist and it's making it difficult to keep my fingers straight so I can keep them from clean and free from debris and just being nasty. This brace has helped keep my fingers from closing up and I love how it's not binding or pinching the fingers and it's super easy to put in and wear and I control how much support I need in the strapping. I have a lot of pain so I can't use other braces because they're formed for whatever handform the factory uses so for my hand those cookie cutter braces don't work for me and it causes me a lot of pain I don't need more of. But using this brace has helped me keep the pain down to a dull ache and the loops for my fingers don't add pressure to my fingers or my hand and I love that. This brace or any brace won't get my hand function back to what it was before my injury but this brace has given me some much needed comfort and needed stability for my hand and I wasn't getting comfort with any other brace I had. So this brace to me is perfect and it's given me added bonuses of flexibility with the finger loops and it's made in a way that allows my hand to have movement, my hand isn't bound in such a way as my other brace did that impaired it worse and just caused more pain for me. To me this is a great value this brace has allowed my to have exercise of my hand and fingers while providing the support and stability I need without compromise of blood flow. I'm happy using this brace, and will continue
