What a revelation!
I am a fit 64 year old male who sadly can no longer run due to knee joint problems, although being a bit of endorphin junkie, therefore on at least 3 times a week, I complement my spinning class with a session comprising 25+ minutes on a cross trainer (undulating terrain level 12-16) 15+ minutes on a stepper machine (level 12-16) and a cool down of 20 minutes on a static bike (level 12-16) at 18-20 mph - usually 6 miles. As such shoes of this type are great for me as I tend not to need the ankle support or anything to absorb impact. I am not sure whether I would recommend this item tfor long term impact exercise. I can also appreciate that some people prefer not to have ankle support, but certainly when I ran a lot, I felt that It was essential. In this regard these shoes are very much for "free running" and you have to rely on what nature gave you. I certainly would not run on road in these shoes as there is little if any padding to absorb frequent shock at all.So for me these are very much an indoor shoe at the moment they fit comfortably and I like the fact that there are retaining grips for the laces, enhanced by a velcro attachment to keep the laces snug when the shoe is on and adjusted for comfort. In use, it is early days, I am used to having a degree of heel support and raise when training and these shoes offer none of that, however, I have found that after initial discomfort, I am adapting to them and particularly the area around my achilles tendon appears more flexible across all plains - in your 60's you tend to note these improvements, however, minor. The shoes are well constructed, yet lightweight. As I haven't tested them outside I cannot comment on how water resistant they are, however, having run a lot across country in the past, water will get in somehow if you venture into any wet areas. As someone who sweats a lot when training, I felt that wearing thin cotton socks has kept my feet reasonably dry from myself and that the manufactured ventilation works well. I particularly like the fact that these shoes come with a sealable bag and also that the shoes are easy to wash after a few sessions and dry quickly if left under a radiator.I note that these shoes can be used for a number of sports and would suggest that they can not only be used for running or in the gym as I do, but also for water sports. I have ordered a second pair to take on holiday with me to Greece, where on a shingle beach I see them as being ideal for wearing walking down to and on the beach, but also for swimming - yes, I think that this lightweight shoe is that versatile. My one criticism of this item is that I am very careful when walking in them in the changing room as any wet areas can be a bit treacherous to navigate - for some reason the soles have little to no grip at all on any wet impervious surfaces. All round then great value for me in my restricted exercise regimes. I see that these lightweight shoes might have a lot more uses, including hiking in the future. Certainly for now as a lightweight and comfortable shoe they are ideal for supplementing my training regime.

The only shoe my son is yet to destroy
These shoes are amazing. I always try to buy my kids barefoot shoes as it's better for bone development in the feet, however some of the brands are super expensive. These were cheap and I would of been happy if they lasted 3 months to be honest. My son is a shoes destroyer, he has autism and we find he's very heavy on the heel as he walks. He had a pair of sketchers the same time I bought these. The sketchers have gone to shoes heaven as he went through the sole by the heel. These however look as new on the soul. They're wide by the toe for plenty of space, very flexible so move with the foot, and have undergone rigorous scooter/bike/general kid abuse and they still look great. There's a review I read on here saying they weren't co fortable and offered no support but they are barefoot shoes, that's not what they are meant to do and I can assure you they are comfortable but if your not used to barefoot it can take a bit of getting used to. If your not sure like I wasn't at first then do it because there's no comparison, I'm actually looking at getting another pair as school shoes as they are so good.

Fits wide feet well
Use these in the gym to help my running after a foot injury caused by too narrow a shoe previously. These cause no issues and allow foot to move naturally with no pain.On the rower however, the heel slips off. Not quite sure if I should have got a size 10 but I got a 10.5 which is my normal standard size. Not really able to tighten fit with strap style.Generally a good shoe that fit my wide feet, normally a 2E shoe width and these give nicely and cause no issues.

Impressed!
I have had these about a month, bought for dog walking as traditional shoes seem to be causing me pain in my shins and I don’t like feeling like I’m walking on a cushion when I’m out in nature. These shoes a good value, lightweight and allow me to feel the terrain through the soles, the zero raise in the heel also feels better for walking.I purchased mine by measuring my feet (they came up a size smaller than I have ever bought so I was hesitant, but needn’t have been, they are perfect). My sole (pun intended) issue is width, my feet are wide and with thin socks the shoes are wide but not wide enough. This would have been an issue but I have removed the insoles and they now fit perfectly as well as giving me more feel sans insole. At this price, they are certainly worth a try, I’d only advise caution if you’re feet are wide (mine are a G fitting I think). It’s worth mentioning that being so minimalist, they feel a lot cooler than traditional shoes.

I just love them.
Update 14/12/2023: These have become my everyday shoe. My toes have spaces between them now! No obvious wear and tear and I still love them. Highly recommend.————————————————Started back in to C25K a few weeks back and started out in Sketchers. They were made more for hiking trails, so decided to treat myself to new running shoes (the new Brooks Adrenaline GTS 23), more official sketchers hiking books, and the Saguaro just for casual wear. The Saguaros have ended up being my favourite of the lot and they are by far the cheapest. It's still early days in terms of wear and tear, but they are just so comfy and I ended up taking them out for my morning jog this morning. I'm literally just home and have sat down to write this review....I just love them! Little bit of squidge on the sole for comfort, easy to tighten stretchy looped laces that means you can run in them (the GTS 23 has been awful in comparison) and most importantly they are roomy! Now - I usually buy wide mens 8s. As a woman, I can't wear women's shoes. These seem to be designed to fit feet and I'm just so grateful. For context, I bought a 7.5 and they are perfect.Totally recommend to try them at least once if you're on the fence like I was.
