Based on the New York Times bestseller, WONDER tells the incredibly inspiring and heart-warming story of August Pullman. Born with facial differences that, up until now, have prevented him from going to a mainstream school, Auggie becomes the most unlikely of heroes when he enters the local fifth grade. As his family, his new classmates, and the larger community all struggle to discover their compassion and acceptance, Auggie's extraordinary journey will unite them all and prove you can't blend in when you were born to stand out.Starring Julia Roberts, Owen Wilson, Jacob Tremblay, Mandy Patinkin and Daveed Diggs.

Gentle, charming film
This was a lovely feel-good film. Not gritty in the mould of Mask, but not too schmaltzy either. It was essentially a story about relationships and how everyone is fighting a battle you know nothing about, so don't judge. We watched it as a family (8, 15 and two 50 year-olds) and we all enjoyed it.

Excellent lead role acting. Deals with a challenging topic of bullying and prejudice.
Spoiler Alert!!**************"*If you can remember your school days, you may appreciate how this film deals creatively and sensitively with the emotionally sensitive areas of bullying and prejudice. If you can't remember, or bullying or prejudice was never an issue, it still touches on an important area that still seems to challenge today. The way the narrative cuts to several characters perpective, particularly the sister, is very imaginative.A painful yet uplifting take on human prejudice and fragility.

Heart-Warming.
This is a beautiful film, and one which will impart great lessons upon our youth.I really enjoyed the book too, and the cuts between characters helps to tell a more balanced and deep story.I saw this in the cinema at the time, and had to get the Blu-ray as soon as it became available. Definitely one of my favourite films of 2017.

This is an excellent film. Having read the book first, I would say that it skirts over some of the issues. It kept the entire family engaged, which is rare because they usually wander off and start watching YouTube. Would definitely recommend it, but read the book first and then read Auggie and Me, the accompanying book afterwards.
