I love it but it's expensive

Boxiecat makes amazing cat litters so I was so happy to try this!It's interesting. It does work, the cats don't seem to mind it, but it also seems like it is more work than not. Obviously a self-cleaning box wouldn't work with this, which is also an issue.I might do another test run with it, we do have two boxes that are not self-cleaning for those cats who prefer "real" litterboxes. I noticed a bit of tracking. The odor seemed ok but we have so many cats and cat boxes it is hard to tell!!!

Best crystal litter so far!!

My wife and I run a kitten foster home, so we’re always on the lookout for products that might make our feline friends’ lives a bit easier and our home a bit cleaner. First off, the concept of UV sparkles visible only to cats is fascinating. It's designed to guide them to the litter box, potentially reducing behavioral issues and house-soiling, which sounded perfect for our varying crew of foster kittens. However, in practice, we didn't observe any noticeable change in how the kittens approached or used their litter boxes. They seemed neither more nor less attracted to the litter than usual.As for the 30-day odor control claim, this was another key reason for our interest. With multiple kittens always in the house, anything that promises extended odor control is a must-try. Sadly, we didn’t find it to be any more effective than our usual litter. While it didn’t perform badly, it didn't live up to the heightened expectations set by its product description either.In terms of texture and dust, the crystal litter is fairly typical of non-clumping varieties. It's less messy than some clumping litters and doesn’t track as much around the house, which is a plus. However, without the litter clumping, it's sometimes harder to keep the box as clean as one might like, which can deter cats from using it—something that's particularly problematic in a foster home setting where you're trying to encourage good habits.Overall, while the idea behind this litter is innovative and it’s always exciting to try new technology designed for pets, this particular product didn’t make a significant difference in our litter box routine. We wouldn't purchase it again, mainly because it didn’t stand out compared to other products that are more effective or better suited to our needs. It's a great concept, but the execution didn't quite hit the mark for us, resulting in a 3 out of 5 stars rating.

I liked the lightweight feel and odor control/fragrance of this litter. I have four cats so I did a test, placing the Glo litter in one of our four litter boxes and moving them at random. The cats seemed to prefer the Glo about the same rate as the other (Arm and Hammer clumping litter). It was easy to clean up the litter box with Glo, and clumps were easier to remove. I rotated the litter boxes and the cats seemed to use them about the same. The Glo had a nice fragrance and was less unsightly than regular litter. However, the Glo is quite expensive compared to my regular litter, coming out at about 5x the price. I liked the Glo litter, and for people with only one cat, the increased price might be more palatable because the Glo looks and smells better, but for multiple cat owners, I'm not sure I could justify the price.

THIS ... THIS IS THE ONLY LITTER I WILL RECOMMEND FROM THIS DAY FORTH. this stuff is incredible. Smell? What smell? The biggest issue about having cats in my opinion is the dreaded smell of the litter box, the smell of cat pee is dreadful and their #2 .... OOF thats a doozy too. THIS KITTY LITTER is amazing, it eliminates the odor better than ANY that I've tried. The only other litter that comes close is pretty litter and still, that doesn't hold a candle to this stuff. I like that there are particles that glow apparently and attract your cat to do its business idk how true it is bc both of my cats haven't ever had an issue with using the litter box ... but it's an interesting concept for sure. All in all I wooluld give this litter 10 STARS if I could. the fact that I didn't smell cat pee at all throughout the month is unbelievable, and as I unconsciously needed to test my thoughts on it or something when it came time to completely clean out and replace the old with brand new litter entirely I hadn't reordered and had to drive over to Walmart quick to get some... since they don't have this, but do have PL I grabbed a bag of that and it 100% solidified my opinion as stated above. PL is a close second, and all those others are miles behind... but this kitty litter in my opinion is the clear winner and truly the only litter that I'd recommend. I agree that it's a bit pricey... and it'd be awesome if there were more in the bag for that price... but if that's the only gripe, that we want MORE of it... seems like you're doing pretty OK 😉

It didn't clump very well, did nothing for the smell, and wasn't worth the price to be honest.

I have always used a major brand cat litter that can be purchased at supermarkets, online, etc., so I would like to write about my review compared to that. First, regarding odor control, after switching to this Boxie Glo Lightweight Crystal litter, I immediately noticed that the area around the entrance (where we have the litter box)was full of odor and it takes long time for the odor to go away after my cat used the box. Next, let's talk about moisture absorption. This one also had less ability to hold the liquid together than the major brands, and it was difficult to scoop out with a scooper as it crumbled into small lumps. Next, low tracking. I don't think I started seeing more litter on the floor so it was good. Finally about ”dust free", I don't think they should claim this. When I added more liter to the box, the smoke (dusty cloud) billowed up so much that I had to hold my breath. This doesn't happen with the liters I normally use. Overall, I can't recommend this crystal litter highly enough.
