Pipe Welding Procedures (Volume 1)

This book is an easy read. It explains the different techniques of each welding pass, and the whys and when’s. It’s not going to teach you to weld, but it does give you a good understanding. I enjoyed reading it and am sure I gained knowledge from it.

I purchased this book a while back and have been very pleased with it. I am a pipe welder by trade and it has been a useful reference for refreshing steps and procedures that I have not visited in a while.If you are new to pipe welding I would defiantly would recommend this book as well. The illustrations and specs for each time of welding are right on the mark and it outlines clearly each of the steps that are needed to complete each process as well as other helpful advice to the welder.Overall I am happy with this book and would recommend it to anyone that is involved with pipe welding or is wanting to learn how to pipe weld.

This book has a lot of great info on pipe welding in the 2G and 5G position. There are plenty of tips, diagrams, and guidelines on completing a properly pipe weld. I used a couple tips to help me out in the 5G position and it did the trick. I had a better understanding on controlling the arc, fitting up importance, and what it takes to make a proper weld out on the field. If you are welder or work in piping industry this book will increase your understanding on how to complete a proper weld.

Very well written,however it needs a spelling check. The pictures would be better to see if magnified and why not print them in COLOR!!!! Then the pictures will match the quality of the information! The book will turn out to be a 100% awesome edition even if the price goes higher. A true wise investment for welding enthusiasts,beginners,and why not for people who teach themselves.

I was in the middle of my second pipe welding class when I heard about this book. I wish I had heard of it sooner.After reading this book the quality of my pipe welds noticeably increased.The author explains pipe welding very well and has pictures and diagrams that are very helpful.I highly recommend this book to anyone who welds pipes.

I got this book for a welding class. After reading through this book, I can see that I will be able to apply this information to other areas of my welding projects. This book is well written and explains all of the techniques completely. I would recommend this book to others in the field of welding.

Excellent book. Was easy to use reference for work.

This book stands-out for helping a welder do what they aim to do which is learn to weld pipes. Can a book really guide a person who overall can weld to being a pipe-welder??? I'd say that remarkably, yes, Rampaul has the special skill to do this. His photos with added overlaying sketches showing what he means is an example of what works. I can't promise the book with work for you in particular; but many others in the welding world rate it. The effect studying it has is to make you want to go out to the workshop and try that technique you have just studied in the book. And by-and-large you will find it does guide you so you find yourself doing something good you didn't know how to do before.

A great book that covers the fundamentals of pipe welding. A great buy for welders.
