Great to find these again!
Farfel disappeared from grocery shelves several years ago. Well Amazon has everything else I need I thought, so why not see if they have farfel? Amazingly YES they do - I bought 2 boxes. Here's a great recipe to make Egg Farfel for use like croutons in chicken soup of just to nibble on.14 oz. box of Manischewitz Matzo Farfel13 egg yolks2 tsp. salt13 tbl. sweet butter, meltedPreheat oven to 350. Dump the farfel into a large shallow pan lined with tin foil. Blend the eggs, salt, and melted butter in a separate bowl until smooth and pour the mixture over the farfel. Mix until the farfel is completely and evenly coated. Bake for 30 minutes then remove the pan to separate the farfel into individual pieces as this entire thing will stick together otherwise. You can use any utensils you like to break up the mass - I like to break up the remaining clumps by rubbing them between my hands. Put the pan back in the oven and continue baking at 350 until the farfel begins to brown and then some.

This lasted For good amount of time!
I like this kosher product. I sprinkled it in my salads and enjoyed it immensely. I like the brand name. It was an alternative choice for variety to avoid croutons. I used as much as i want and it last a long time! π

My matzoh farfel!
This is my Passover breakfast. Sweetened warm milk and farfel. I just made a farfel kugel with sour cream, eggs, cottage cheese, cream cheese and a little farfel. Lovely.
