Works well, thought I would return but, it works well. Don't use often but. I got a message that the ink was lowbut, not needed now. I think I will have an ink problemCan't tell because I have not owned but about 6 months an I think it will be an ink problem. Other wise it works well not as fast as the 9620 that I owned for years. I still use the pro9620 for heavy printing because it is faster and the problem with it also is the ink is too expensive.

We bought an HP 8600 printer and it was outstanding, and performed perfectly for 20 years, but of course, they are no longer making that model. So we bought this one and it is terrible! EVERY time I want to print, it says it is not connected to the internet (when everything else in my house is.) EVERY time I want to print, I have to turn the printer off and I have to be right next to it with my device to print. It won’t print from downstairs like my other printer did. Several times when I printed multiple pages, it stopped in the middle of one page and I had to restart the printer again to get it start again and I had to start all over. Also, EVERY time I print a couple of different jobs, it does not do it well. So you need to do each job separately and check all pages because it doesn’t always finish the job. When I try to copy something, I have to turn it off and on again. I can get it to work and when it prints, it is fine, but it takes a lot of finesse. It is not at all reliable. I am retired and don’t use it much, but it would be unacceptable if I needed to use it for my job.

While this printer is very nice, it seems that it favors Windows computers and was a real hassle to set up on my mac. I have parallels installed on my computer for windows applications, but only a few of them print on this machine. I love it and most things print, but I may need professional help to get it to print on the Windows stuff since it is set up for Mac.

I have had this printer a couple of months, but I am a heavy user so I have put it through its paces. I see people complaining about connectivity issues when trying to print. Here is my tip: Do NOT use the HP Smart Print option. Use the printer dropdown menu and just choose the printer. This solves the issue. We have 4 different printers in this office and they ALL have issues printing and scanning using the HP Smart option. This printer does fine on scanning with the HP Smart option, but cannot keep the connection reliably to print. It does have an automatic drive feed for scanning several pages, but doesn't do well with more than maybe 10 sheets. Also, BE WARNED, this printer constantly defaults to two sided printing so you need to uncheck that box in the print menu. It is annoying because I NEVER want two sided printing. Despite these minor inconveniences, it is a very good printer. It was easy to set up, it is not too loud and provides quality printing.

My last HP printer worked for 10 years an died so I bought this one. I hate it. You have to download the HP app to all your devices if you want to do anything besides basic printing. The scan function does not work by USB to computer and only works via email, which is a real pain. It says printer not recognized for scan even when it is connected and prints fine. Ink does not last long and the set up locks you in to only buying HP brand ink, it won't recognize other cartridges. It stops recognizing its own HP cartridges randomly too. This thing sucks, total waste of money. As soon as I run out of this 2nd set of ink I am throwing it away and cutting my losses and frustrations. I am tech savvy, and have used plenty of printers.
