For the dollar, it should be a 10. Just don't expect 4K.

backlight too soft, app was last updated in 2020
save your money and get something legitimate. problems with these "use your phone to scan negatives" devices.- apps (including Kodak's) are too old. the Rybozen app was last updated in 2020.- apps cannot use the camera properly to focus on the slide from the included stand. the apps tend to default to the wide-angle lens with no capability to zoom in optically. some people with *older* phones (like the iphone 8) have reported some good results, but i have an iphone 13 pro and this contraption is useless.- LED backlights are too weakjust avoid all of these types of products.

What about 110 film and that huge stuff used in a Brownie
And not all phones have the camera in the center. Kind of a nuisance having to steady the phone with the camera on the edge to use this device.I ended up buying a backlit USB powered panel and using another reviewers recommended Kodak app.

Where's the photos
Not very happy with the ability to find my scanned photos. Very irritating. I've looked all over my phone you can't find any of my photographs I scanned.

How can this be on the market?
I had no great expectations for this scanner. My goal was just a simple quick way to scan to determine if I wanted to scan the slides with quality equipment. What this produces is very fuzzy photos that make it difficult to determine who is who in a photo. I used a Iphone 12 and had it adjusted properly. The colors wer all washed out too. Simply a terrible product and total waste of time.

Don't use the app it tells you to use
Download the Kodak Mobile Film Scanner app instead. The app for this product sucks and your photos will be super blurry. I didn't take a star off because the app you use is completely up to you, you can even just use your phone's camera and use some other program to invert the picture.That said, the device itself is awesome, especially for the price! I'm going through boxes of old family pictures and there's envelopes upon envelopes upon envelopes filled with negatives, I can't wait to look through them and start archiving them for my family!

Doesn’t copy good
This is not easy to use. Unable to get a focused copy, color not good. Not worth it.
