Just a battery to add and it works great, undamaged spider / insect to release back into the wild.

Only given 4 stars because the suction is pretty strong and omce caught you need to let go of the button really fast. Just caught a hover fly, seemed really stunned, I'm hoping it was okay when I dropped it out of the window.... Hate killing things even wee beasties.. Lol

I bought this to suck up spiders. It does not suck up spiders.The device is easy enough to use. Unpack it, put in a battery (not included) and press the button.The first spider I tried it on was was around the size of a rice grain and was sitting in the corner where the wall joins the ceiling. Brought the nozzle as close as possible to the spider and switched it on. Spider stayed exactly where it was.This does produce suction, so technically not broken, but completely failed to do it's intended job.It also loses points as it does not include a battery, so I had to go out and buy one. The listing is somewhat ambiguous on this.I ended up returning it. I had to pay for return postage, which is unfortunate, given that return is due to the product not working as advertised. Tracking shows it arrived a week ago, but still no refund.

Not much suction

I've been using it for catching clothes moths and it works very well. The moths can be pretty small and some of them went through the grating and out the other side. Bought some gauze from a pharmacy and put ot over the grill and not had a single one get through since. Seems robust and well made. Easy to fit the battery (not included) without needing any tools.

Small and easy to use 8

This is an ideal product for catching Spiders. Although the bigger ones put up more of a fight!!The small holes between the vacuum handle and the clear plastic tube, in my opinion, could do with being a lot smaller or having a filter between as some of the smaller spiders with long legs get sucked up a little bit too far!.......it's ok, they recover.I have placed a small meshed thin bandage, cut to size and it solves all of the problems with the small and long legged spiders.Despite this I really love it and it helps my young Son to capture and look at these amazing creatures.I highly recommend this product and would definitely buy one again

Couldn’t be bothered to return but it’s absolutely useless and requires a 9v battery.Suction is so poor. Even on cellar spiders which are nothing! So imagine trying to catch a big boy… don’t waste your money
