UPDATE:- 3Months after my purchase I had to get in touch with Russell Hobbs who immediately responded and solved my issue with a full refund im happy to say. However, the reason for the refund (pictures supplied) was that I noticed one morning there was a large brown mark in one area and all the way around the power base. On closer inspection I saw it was rust. Water had been slowly leaking from the spout and ran down around the power base causing the rust. I will point out that I fill the kettle once a day for a brew, I'm not a massive tea drinker so only drink a morning brew. I then empty the kettle as I like fresh water every morning. This being said. As its used once a day for a cuppa it rusted quickly. Received the kettle really quickly. Couldn't wait to unpack. The first thing I did was fill up and do a boil. The boil only took 3.5 mins and it was full. Sooooo fast! Not noisy either. It is stable on the base, not heavy. The lid comes off and reveals a good size opening to fill. The handle is a nice shape and makes it easy to pour and the spout is a nice size and pours lovely, no drips! I love the style of this kettle, takes me back to my younger years as we had a kettle shaped like this in the 70's . I'm really pleased I purchased this kettle instead of the norm, jug kettles! I'm blown away how quick it boils. 100% recommend.

This is such an aesthetically pleasing kettle; it compliments my kitchen really well. I’ve owned kettles that boil faster and run more quietly, but this one still does the job well overall. Only thing to note is that it doesn’t sit completely steady on the base, so it does rock a little.. nothing majorly concerning though. Great buy.

Lovely kettle, well made and looks the part in the kitchen item, easy to clean, boils a for a cup of tea in no time.

Brought for a present, family very happy with it, quiet boil and good pourer, attractive design

Sadly this came as a disappointment. Partly because I'd expected the colour shown in the picture but instead recieved a grey banded kettle, not the bronze colour I'd liked. But what I've found awful is the plastic taste that taints the water. I know I am sensitive to this so many will not mind, but it ruins my tea. I've removed the filter and internal measuring devise and it's improved but it's still spoiling my drinks. It's a beautiful kettle and pours in such a satisfying stream, so it's not all bad, but taste is the most important thing!

Great kettle - really pleased with it. It is quite chunky but the handle is easy to grip and the lid opens and closes easily. Unlike my previous kettle, there is no danger of clutching anything hot after it has boiled. I am not sure that the filter is brilliant as I always have to pour the boiling water into the cup through a tea strainer to catch small flakes of limescale but I live in one of the hardest water areas in the country so that has happened with any kettle I have bought.

Really pleased with this kettle. It is relatively quiet and looks so nice in my kitchen. The copper band is not as bright as it appears in the listing, but that’s fine by me. It looks very shiny and modern and I like the groovy blue light as it boils. I boiled it and emptied it a couple of times in case there was a ‘new kettle’ taste, but it was fine.

Utter Chinese rubbish. Do not buy this kettle. It is of very poor quality and also dangerous as kettle rocks on base. Found base to be unlevel. This was meant to replace our 10 year old Russel Hobbs kettle. There is no comparison. The 10 year old kettle is far better built. Nothing flimsy about it at all. Can we have a new one of the 10 year old kettle please?
