Good physical implementation, great graphic, a bit easy to assemble
The physical product is quite good, with sturdily interlocking pieces, very little shape ambiguity among the pieces, and decent printing. I really enjoyed the graphic. (Sue me, I'm a train nut.) That said, I also learned a lot about NY City geography and cultural features (I worked in NYC for two summers during high school, but don't know the city all that well; Queens barely, and Staten Island not at all.) At only 500 pieces, and with "high clue content" graphic features on nearly 75% of the pieces, one person can binge-assemble the puzzle in 4-5 hours. I think I'd have preferred a 36", 1000 piece version. Still, recommended.

Well done
This is a high quality puzzle with sharp cut edges that allow you to read every detail and street name. I'm very pleased. The puzzle pieces aren't tiny; they are about an inch not 3/4 inch, like 1000 pce puzzles. I like to do puzzles over and over, but this would be ideal to frame since it results in a flatter surface due to the sharp cut. It is very helpful in learning the excellent transit system in Chicago.

Super fun!
Being a lifelong Chicago resident and a fan of trains this was a very enjoyable puzzle to build. The pieces fit together well and it was printed cleanly. I put a coat of puzzle sealer on it and framed it . It was alot of fun.

Neat puzzle, wish it were larger
Cons: This puzzle came with about mmm, 16-20 pieces which were not cut all the way through. That many out of 500 is pretty bad quality control, and is why this isn't 5 star. Pros: C'mon, a NYC subway map puzzle! This is great. I bought one for myself (NYC resident) and two for friends who live out of state. I really enjoyed it. More thoughts: -This puzzle is 24"x18", which I think may be smaller than the actual subway maps hung in the subway! It would be great if this puzzle was 1000 pieces, especially given that for New Yorkers, enough of the place names will be familiar enough that it is an easy puzzle as-is. -There is a *really* large variety in puzzle piece shapes. I wonder if 1000+ piece New York Puzzle Company puzzles get obnoxious to do with the various non-rectilinear shapes they use. -I did this puzzle in one sitting in under 2.5 hours. I disagree with the previous poster; do the coastlines first, then fill in starting with subway line colors. If you've lived in Queens or Brooklyn, the fill-in part goes incredibly quickly.

Fun Puzzle!
I enjoyed doing this puzzle, seeing how well I knew the Chicago area. It was challenging and I think I learned a bit! I also gave one as a gift.

Learn New York City Geography
Having ridden the entire New York City subway system, I found this puzzle rather easy to assemble. Those not so familiar have an opportunity to improve their knowledge. Suggestions for solution: Separate the pieces into boroughs and legend. Assemble the boroughs individually, then join them together. Next do the borders, and finally, the areas of water.
