First a suggestion/criticism: this thing is small enough to fit in a jacket pocket, but not a jean pocket comfortably. They need to put a pocket clip on this thing so it can be worn on a belt.Don't worry about the small size. This thing is just as loud if not louder than my full size air horn. It was so loud that when I pranked my daughter with it, not only did it make my own ears ring, it made her start to cry, even though she was turned away from it! Yeah, I know, BAD DAD. I won't do it again. Didn't realize how painfully loud this thing was going to be.I'm guessing it would deter aggressive animals and people fairly well, but I wouldn't rely solely on it. I also carry pepper spray as a backup deterrent.

These are very small cans but they pack a loud punch. The sound is sharp and loud. They will work for what I intended, but understand the cans are small.

We bought these for our two male shepherds who started fighting after the old Lab passed away. They have basic training and are really obedient but, once the fight starts, it is hard to get their attention. We bought these while we work on further obedience. They’re definitely loud and easy to use. With multiples and the mini size, we keep one on all levels in the house and one outside. It’s definitely been a game changer.

Lately I have seen a coyote pair out on my morning dog walk and one day they were stalking us. I had to retreat into a neighbor’s yard and hide. They held their ground waiting for us to cone out. So I bought a four-pack of these and carry one every morning. One day, sure enough, I saw a coyote head pop oilit from behind a bush. As soon as it spotted us, I gave it a little sound blast and it startled and started running away. It stopped to look at is, so I blasted it again. Same response. Repeat one more time and that was the end of it; it took off.
