Q: Are these good at holding weight? Me and my partner are both tall and large, need good thick heavy duty slats, recommended or?

Hi. Yes I recommend these slats. I have had about three orders from them. Due to jumping up and down by grandchildren ! I keep spares ready now! It is never the replacement slats that break again. No doubt in time I will have replaced all the original. They seem better than the original slats that came with the beds. They always are well packed and fast delivery. Also the screw holes are already there, so just a matter of unscrewing the broken slat and replacing it with the same screw. Hope this helps.

Q: Are these good for bunk beds?

I don't see why not. As long as the measurements are the same. It would have to be wooden bunk beds so that you can screw each slat in the sides of the frame at each end. I have just used mine on single pine 3ft bedsteads, and have found them excellent. Best wishes.
