I like it
Made with simple ingredients. Gluten-free. It tastes good, milder than traditional Korean doenjang paste. Almost has a consistency that's a cross between miso and Korean doenjang.A little over priced, but good.

This stuff was weird
This stuff was weird. I unscrewed the lid and found a circle of white paper resting on top of the plastic jar (no vacuum seal). I lifted off white paper and used a spoon to take some miso paste out of the jar; the miso paste just below the surface was a much different color (much lighter), indicating the product was old. I dissolved a spoonful in hot water, and it tasted OK, but I decided to throw out the rest of the jar anyway.

this is better than the others
As soon as I opened the jar, I could tell this stuff is better than the others- the texture was better, the last was more nuanced.

good stuff
Good tasting. What I'm used to from buying soybean paste at a Korean supermarket when I first started to cook with it as an ingredient. I used to have go by a Korean store almost daily . Then I changed jobs and no longer had a reason to drive 30 miles. Had to find soybean paste. Started using miso as a oriental market a lot closer had a lot of it to choose from. This seems chunkier like I remember compared to the Japanese miso paste which I started to use . Also like the jar which I had grown accustomed too with Korean soybean paste. I use both kinds now. With Amazon a lot more is available..

Made with good salt!! (not that pure sodium garbage)
Good product!! Not too many sellers of good quality, unpasteurized doenjang/miso left...

blooms, but not as much as their large unpasteurized tub
This does not state if it is unpasteurized, does any body know if it is, like their giant tub which blooms more and states it is unpasteurized? aloha
