These pruners were just what I was looking for, they are lightweight but feel like a quality tool. It's in the dead of winter but I wanted to try these pruners on the first nice day, In just a few minutes I was able to tackle a little task that I have been wanting to do for the last 4 months. I was able to cut some poison ivy and also some other items, I don't know what they are, that were growing outside my apartment, and they were close to an inch in diameter. The pruners did a great job and made short work of the project. They are sharp and easy to squeeze. I Like the thumb lock for the pruners, which keeps the blades closed for storage.

These are nice pruning sheers for shrubs, rose bushes, things like that. The blade is wide enough and sharp enough for that type of pruning. However, the blade is probably too large for garden snipping. It fits fairly well in the hand, but its a little wide for my hands and takes a little more force than I expected to close. The wierd thing is that the handle is only rubberized on top. The bottom is just plastic and a bit slipper. I wish that both pieces of the handle were rubberized. That might actually make it easier to close. I do like the lock, which is easy to lock but doesn't accidentally unlock during use.Overall, these are nice pruning shears. They could be a bit better with a more hand-friendly grip.

My old pruner became worn and rusted after years of use so I need a new one. I tested this by pruning a rather large bush so that I could stand under the branches again and hang various times from them once again.I would estimate that I pruned well over 200 twigs and small branches up to half an inch in diameter this morning. The last one came off a cleanly and easily as the first one indicating a long useful life for this tool. I would describe the edge as, as close to razer sharp as one could expect for pruning shears. But more importantly my hands do not hurt at the end of such an exercise. Usually I have calluses almost to the point of bleeding after using a tool like that for such a project. Today they were not. I went to work afterwards and did a 10 hour shift in the restaurant where I'm a sous chef and had to spend two hours filling in for a dishwasher and four hours performing a lot hands on cleaning chores and I would not have been able to do all that had I used my old pruning shears earlier in the day. I probably could have used these shears from sun up to sun down without blisters they are that comfortable and ergonomic to use.These are likely the last pruning shears I will ever need. I am extremely happy with them.I should mention that it is my opinion that this result is from a combination of perfect texture of the handle and a perfect amount of spring tension. This is now my favorite go to garden tool. Thank you to whoever designed this.

I'm involved in a couple of habitat restoration projects, removing invasive plants from wooded areas. My cutting tools get used hard during these work sessions and tend not to last a long time. Also, they occasionally disappear under leaf litter, never to be seen again. For these reasons I prefer to buy lower-priced tools that I can replace easily rather than investing in something expensive that may end up with a chipped blade or even lost. I like these garden shears. I'm a woman with large hands, and they are the perfect size for me (might be too small for my husband). They are very sharp and cut cleanly. They are good for cutting away the thorny canes of a multiflora rose, or snipping a Smilax vine that is wrapped around a privet bush you want to remove. I would recommend this product.

This is a good garden pruning shear and works well. The handle is angled so it is easy to cut the stem and it can handle strong stems of bushes like roses. Seems well made and should last long. Haven't found any cons so far.

At $20 these are a solid buy.I like that they are scissor style instead of the pinch style that a lot of shears are (where the blade comes against curved opposing base instead of side by side like these) - though there are times for either, I just prefer these most often.Nice and sharp, lock is good, extension (extra wide) mode is good, and overall a pleasure to use. I have big hands, so I am a bit picky but these feel a bit small but don't get uncomfortable, so a big thumbs up from me.I was a little worried about the plastic, but after using them for a couple days, I think they will be fine.Solid budget shears that get the job done!Recommended.

If you have house plants, you are going to love this tool. I have many and I’ve used scissors and nail-clippers to get to difficult tight areas without breaking the plant itself. These clippers fit my hands well and hasn't slipped from my hand. The clipper is about 8 inches long with a rubberized grip that feels good. There is a lock that holds the blades tightly when not in use. Another really great thing to me, these fit nicely in my back pocket of my jeans. I grow some different ferns with all sorts of leaf configurations and occasionally I just have to get into all those many leaves and thin or remove dead or dying stems. These make clean up work easy. I am a really happy gardener now. I’m starting to move some plants out and I used my clippers earlier today. I have sisters and friends who would love these. Guess what? They are going to get some for either their birthdays or Christmas.

These shears are my new pruning pals! Sharp blades handle stems and branches like butter, leaving clean cuts for happy plants. The comfy grips pamper my hands even during marathon sessions, and the sturdy build promises years of snipping satisfaction. Sure, the safety lock's a bit fussy and the sap catcher could be bigger, but for this price and performance.
