I’ve got a one inch thick stall door I’d like to install these on, and was curious about how far out the bolt sticks- 1/2” gap between door and frame?

When you operate the lock, the bolt goes from being flush with the lock body, to projecting by 13/16 of an inch - it does this either side so it doesn't matter which hand door it goes on. The bar that goes from the inside part to the outside indicator isn't long enough for thick doors but it is easy to replace it with something longer, that's what I did, it is just a flat bar about 1/16" thick by 1/8" wide.

Can this be installed without the deadbolt? I want to use it as an indicator only, no lock.

Does this change on the outside from the inside? Or do I have to flip it before entering the restroom?

Hello, customer. Sure it can be changed from the inside. That is this toilet indication lock is made for. Before you enter the restroom, it will be green, says "vacant". After entering and lock it inside, it will be red, says"engaged" It is a breeze. Enjoy!

I manage a commercial building with several single occupant bathrooms on each floor. I purchased 35 of these units for both right and left hand doors. The only issue I encountered was the spindle that connects the latch on the inside and the sign on the outside was too short. I solved this problem by going to the hardware store and purchasing cylinder tails and filing down the ends to fit the latch. It was a little extra labor but it Worked perfectly every time.

It works with some work

This is intended for a THIN door and a FLAT doorframe. Standard American bathroom door not so much BUT we do AirBnB and I want this to work soooooo I cut some metal rods to extend the reach of the turn screw/lock, $1.25 at Lowes. I am unwilling to cut into my doorframe though and yet, it still works.

Will work in some cases !

First the good news : The quality appears good and it is well made.The bad news : The existing parts will only work on a door no thicker than about 1".Also the door strike furnished is for a surface mount parallel to the existing door.None of this was clear in the description.So... if you can make /adapt a door strike and make a drive pin( small flat metal ) it can be made to work !I was able to do this and installed two for our church restrooms.

Poor Design!

This lock won't work for doors in the United States. In fact it is only 1 inch long. The metal bar that connects the lock to the indicator is way too short. Unless you can make your own bar I wouldn't recommend this.

Missing a long enough door pin.

The product is well made and looks very durable. The only problem is if you are installing on a regular rest room door the pin they include that goes from one side of the door to the other is not long enough. They could send several kinds or one with a break away depending on the door side and it would be the perfect bathroom lock.
