It does sit low to the floor which I love it was easy to assemble even with one of the screws missing but luckily for me I keep all extra screws from other stuff because you never know and it is really cute so far good purchase also it’s short and doesn’t take up much room I thought it was going to be bigger then this I love that it’s small I have a 1y/o and a 3y/o so it’s perfect for them and I got it in a twin size the mattress I got was 6 inches in a twin size you can go higher in inches if you want you will have room for sure
