A tough, 3-year lifetime day-night camera that comes bundled with IPView, a handy multiple-camera viewer app.I had one outside in Watertown, NY where one winter night, the temp dropped to almost -30 F. The camera is rated to work down to -22. It conked out one extremely cold night somewhere around -25, but it came back online the next morning, undamaged.Daytime color picture is great. The night half of the camera is adaquate, especially in view of the low price, but after 3 years, the LED IR array quit on one and the night image went almost dark on a second, necessitating replacing both.

I'm using these cameras with Zoneminer, so I don't need on board motion detection and I didn't need any of their tech support.Like I said, these cameras are large. They are about twice the size of the 5MP TV-IP316PI. This was a problem placing them outside my house under the eves above a doorway.You will need a security torx to adjust the camera (not included). The fasteners are soft, so don't strip them.Operationally, they are a good high resolution camera. If you set the IPV4 gateway to a bogus value or leave it blank, the cameras won't be able to "phone home". Otherwise, use a Pfsense router to block outgoing network traffic.

I am reviewing the new TV-IP316PI fixed camera that supports H.265 encoding.Pros:The physical quality of the camera is very good. It is constructed from an all metal heavy duty housing.The mounting hardware is good, and the camera was easy to install on a wood post.The image quality is very good in both day and night settings.Cons:The IPView mobile app is not well made, showing garbage characters where real text should be.There is no compatibility with Windows 10 computers. There is no Windows 10 app, and you cannot use the default Edge browser to access the camera.Using Firefox on another computer reveals the Web interface for camera management is poorly designed. The interface is not intuitive and does not scale to the size of the browser window.Overall, the camera looks to be high quality physically, but suffers from poor software to control it. If you plan on using this camera standalone, I would not advise it. After spending several hours, I could not get the camera to record to the internal SD card. It may be a good solution if you are using with an ONVIF compliant NAS.

This Trendnet camera has a beautiful picture both day and night. I have over 100 Trendnet cameras inside and outside protecting a large store. This camera lights up the outside around the store very well. I use the Trendnet EVO software to motion record what the camera sees. This purchase was for additional cameras, the first one of this model was put in service when first released and is still going strong. I did not use Tech Support so just gave it 3 stars, don't know good or bad.

Quite large, however excellent for outdoor security use. I use it to monitor back yard. IR for nighttime reaches about 50ft for me, that is ok for the price.If it was smaller and IR could reach further it would be amazing.

I really like the camera, and it's a huge upgrade over the Unifi one I had before due to WDR and the resolution. I never did get the TrendNet NVR to work though. It has been a while since I set out up, but from what I remember, when I finally got it to find the camera, it wouldn't get video from it. I ended up using Milestone instead, though it is far more than I need or want for a single camera.

I originally bought 8 cameras 2 gens older than this camera. 1 died. I bought the newer gen, it died. I bought this camera to replace it.This is the 1 camera mounted in the sun. Picture looks good. It is better in every way than the last. Same mount for easy install.Time will tell if it will Outlast the others

Fantastic resolution and very easy to program. I have it set up with a synology nas and it works flawlessly.

Quick and easy to get setup and working, just make sure you either have the right POE switch or injectors or 12V power supply for the cameras. I was hoping for better image quality on the 5MP camera compare to the 2MP I previously used, but it doesn't seem that much clearer. Great night vision though, it covers a much larger area than you would expect.

Ich habe einen Nachfolger für meine alte Outdoor-Kamera gesucht und bin bei dieser hängen geblieben. Die Lieferung war, wie bei Amazon gewohnt, sehr schnell. Die Ersteinrichtung in der Wohnung gestaltete sich am Anfang teilweise schwierig, da für das Admin-Passwort nicht alle Sonderzeichen genutzt werden dürfen. Somit try & error. Auch diese Hürde wurde aber gemeistert. Durch POE ist die Installation einfach. Ich musste aber diese Kamera ca. 5m nach hinten setzen, um den gleichen Blickwinkel wie meine alte Kamera zu bekommen. Gottseidank hatte ich genug Kabel in Reserve, somit war das kein Problem.Der Ersteindruck der Software und die der Kamera war am Tag eigentlich sehr gut. Mir wollte nur nicht gelingen, die Aufnahmen auf der SD-Karte anzuschauen und den Webservice zu aktivieren. Die Einstellungen, die bei meiner alten Kamera geklappt haben, wollten hier nicht funktionieren. Somit habe ich den Support eingeschaltet. Dieser antwortete mir schnell, aber auf Englisch. Das was für mich kein Problem, doch das Ergebnis blieb das Gleiche. Nach einem nochmaligen Kontakt, waren die Fehler offensichtlich behoben. Ich konnte nun auf die SD-Karte zugreifen, doch beim Zugriff hat sich die Session immer wieder resettet. Das war für mich nicht tragbar. Auch die Nachtaufnahmen konnte ich nicht so einstellen, dass die Personenerkennung einigermaßen funktioniert hätte. Entweder war gar nichts drauf oder aber ich hätte ca. alle 20min eine Alarmmeldung bekommen. Auf den Aufnahmen konnte man Insekten sehen, die sich wohl vom Infrarot angezogen gefühlt haben.Wenn man im Internet recherchiert, kann man erfahren, dass es eine baugleiche Kamera gibt. Man könnte auch die Firmware aufspielen und deren Software benutzen. Das war mir aber im Hinblick auf die Garantie zu gefährlich. Somit blieb mir nur eins übrig, die Kamera zurückzuschicken. Für Jemand, der sie Indoor benutzt eine gute Kamera in Verbindung mit einem NAS-System. Aber für Outdoor, trotz der guten Filmqualität, kann ich sie nicht empfehlen.Ich habe mich nun für ein deutsches Produkt mit PIR-Sensor entschieden und bin damit sehr zufrieden.

I purchased one of these but had to return it as one of screws holding the memory card cover on wouldn't screw in out of the box, the thread appeared to be shredded. I decided to go for an exchange as the camera did feel well built and of good quality...I'm glad I did! The replacement was spot on. I have since purchased four of these since returning the first one, and I haven't had any issues with the memory card covers on any of them. Great day/night vision! I use Blue Iris on a windows 10 computer to monitor and continuously record without issue.

Wir hatten ein technisches Problem mit der Kamera. Man bekam etliche Support-Nr. zugewiesen nichts ist passiert, niemand fühlt sich zuständig, kein Ersatz erfolgt! Ich kann von einem Kauf nur abraten!

Gute Kamera, gute Tagsicht. allerdings kann man bei der Kamera nicht davon ausgehen, dass man die einschaltet und sie funktioniert. Vor allem die Nachtsicht funktioniert nicht automatisch. Da muss man sich ein bisschen spielen, bis man die richtige Einstellungen gefunden hat. Und das ist gar nicht so leicht.Der Support von Trendnet ist ein Witz. Habe dort hingeschrieben und außer "machen sie eine Firmware update" nichts zurückbekommen. Das Ticket wurde einfach geschlossen.Also: eine, an und für sich, gute Kamera mit guter Auflösung und schlechten Support.Nachdem ich mehrere Kameras von Trendnet besitze, war das die erste, die man nicht mit den Standard Einstellungen benutzen konnte.Eigentlich schade...
