Front Sliding Moonroof Cover Latch, Sunroof Lock - GM F Retainer 84691055, Compatible with Chevy Traverse, GMC Acadia Buick Enclave

The little piece works on GMC sunroof pooping off the shade.

Worked like a charm! I had to use a pair of plyers and a screwdriver to remove the old latch before putting on the new one. I drilled some pilot holes before using the self tapping screws that were provided.

Easy replacement! Note, the manufacturer uses security screws so you need a special star head to remove the old screws, but if you have that, this installs and works in about 30 seconds.

Fit well.

The plastic piece, that holds the sun shade in the front part of my 2019 GMC Acadia, broke no longer allowing me to close my sun shade. I contacted my dealership and they quoted me $1,300.00 for the job even when I sent them the pic of the exact issue. Saved myself a lot of money by finding out I can buy the part I need from Amazon. It came with the plastic piece and two screws. I didn’t use the screws that it came with but it is nice to have as a precaution. I had the old piece off and new piece on in less than 3 minutes. So far no issues… If it breaks at least I know where to get the replacement part.

Easy to install, works great! Seems better than the original piece that fell into pieces. Dealership wanted to charge a diagnostic fee just to look at it, glad I ordered and replaced on my own.

Make sure you understand how to use this piece. Purchased and took to the dealership for them to use and they stated that it would work but may not hold up due to the materials. Have a 4 star because it came in exactly as listed and looks exactly as advertised- was unable to use it due to the fact that I wanted longevity in the product and I was uncertain that this would do the job. If you know a mechanic, buy! This is WAY less expensive than going to the dealership. WAY.
