Feels very secure while using it
I want to get the big negative out of the way, the packaging. The pieces are wrapped in bubble wrap, a few Styrofoam blocks placed here and there and then taped up. Not really the best way to package large pieces of steel. But surprisingly enough, no parts were damaged. Before you assemble. Always lay out the parts and compare them against the parts list in the assembly manual. To make sure no parts are missing. In my case, the safety stop pin that limits the plate arm movement (#6 on the parts list) was missing. At least it wasn't an integral part that would render the machine unsafe or useless. So, I pressed on with the assembly.Assembly is by way of a manual with an exploded view of how the parts connect together. Very easy to follow and even easier if you are mechanically inclined. All the hardware to put the machine together is included. It also comes with two different size Allen keys and two 17mm open end wrenches. If you have your own tools, I suggest using them in lieu of the provided wrenches. A socket set up with a box-end wrench is all you'll need, 17mm of course. You'll need an extension for your socket when putting the seat pad on the frame. Remember to keep all nuts and bolts loose until all parts have been connected, then tighten them in the sequence of assembly according to the manual. It took me around 30 minutes to finish the assembly.A tip for smoother operation and limiting the wear of steel-on-steel friction. I used synthetic mechanic's grease on the adjust wheel rod before I inserted it through the frame where it connects to the plate arm.Operation of machine. I was pleasantly surprised how smooth the machine works. I loaded it with a 45 lb plate just to feel how it operates. Operated quite well. I added a 25 lb plate on top of the 45 and operation felt the same. No wobbles of any sort while doing extensions and curls. The base is very sturdy, and the steel frame is thick.A place where I can see improvements can benefit this machine are the end caps on the base frame. The ones that come with the machine are thin and flimsy. I don't see them lasting the test of time if they are on bare concrete or a rough surface. For what I paid for it, I think it is worth it. At the time of writing this review, it has jumped up two Jacksons in price already. So, if you are looking for a sturdy functional leg extension/curl machine, I say this fits the bill quite well. Just like with all my other home gym equipment, I will update as I go. For now, I like this machine.

Good, but could be better.
First off, this unit works, and I do not regret my purchase. However there are some things that need work to make it better.1. The edge of the seat is too far forward. When doing leg extensions and curls your knee should line up with the pivot point of the unit. Because the seat is too far forward the leg roller moves up and down your legs when using the machine.I fixed this by moving the seat back about 2 1/2 inches. I had to drill new holes for the seat bolts to do this. Now my knee lines up better with the pivot point and the rollers stay put when exercising.Without this modification the unit would still work but would be annoying with the leg pads rolling along your legs.2. There is a little too much play in the joint where the weight arm and the leg roller arm connect. I have not found an st home fix for this as of yet. Factory could use tighter tolerances.3. The seat could be a little taller. My sneakers hit the frame in the lowest position. I am 6'2" so for most this should not be a problem.Lastly, in general I am happy with my purchase and feel the price was fair. Can't beat having a leg machine in the home gym. Hard to isolate the quads and hamstrings any other way in a home gym the way you can with this machine.

The machine gets the job done
I’m giving this product 5 starts because it’s a great value. The machine is not perfect, but it does what it needs to do. Unfortunately, the product I received was missing parts, but the seller was very responsive and shipped them fairly quickly.

Best for the price.
It's not a $1000.00 machine. It wiggles a bit,it rubs but it works.the more weight on the smoother it becomes .Instructions were so faint I could hardly see them.I assembled from the photo, eazy!. I am 6 ft 200 lbs. lifting for years. If you don't have the money and you don't want to go to the gym it works. One thing, when sliding the swing arm in push as much heavy lube in as you can.

Decent Machine
Easy assembly and does work as advertised. You have to remove the padded "t-bar" that goes above the legs to get in and out of it, so not a great design there. I typically work out with anywhere from 90 to 135 lbs on it and the bottom padded bar that fits against your ankles has already bent a little. Other than that, it's a pretty solid unit.
