Great knife, great value.
The media could not be loaded. I claimed that this knife had powdered metallurgy, however, it uses a similar process called Sprayform. Sprayform Is better than normal steel production however it’s cheaper and inferior to powder metallurgy. Some people on the Internet seem to make a big Kahoot about it. However, the company never explicitly claimed to use powder Metallurgy and they use a similar process so who cares.Pros: it’s more rugged than a bench made bug out. I really like the G10 and its metal skeleton frame underneath for strength. Superior quality steel for other knives in this price range. I believe they use powder metallurgy though I could be wrong. I really like the size of the knife. the way it fits in my hand. The shape of the blade. I don’t have to feel terrible when I inevitably lose this knife. I can just buy another unlike the bench meat bug out, which is super expensive now.Cons: unfortunately, the quick release bar has a lot of tension or the access bar. Whatever you call it. This shouldn’t be a problem for most users however for me, it makes the knife harder to flick out and also wears on my fingers because I like to fidget with knives all day long, I use them as a fidget toy. Because of the increased strength of the knife, it weighs considerably more than a bench made bug out. This has its negatives and positives however for me, I wish they used less metal in the frame. However, the skeleton is excellent. It doesn’t use that much meal in the first place.

Great quality but bad design
I recently bought this CJRB Hectare in yellow and I really like the feel and quality of this knife. The blade has a little bit of a belly which is good for cutting things like rope and fabric, and CRJB put super sharp edges on their steel so overall I feel like CJRB make some of the best "budget" pocket knives out there overall. The crossbar action is perfect. It clicks shut and closes all the way and while mine needs some breaking in still to flick it open effortlessly, the action is still quite impressive none the less. The knife is a perfect size, it's the same size as a Pyrite only I personally prefer a crossbar lock over push button lock mainly because it makes opening and closing the knife more satisfying. What I don't like and I'm seeing a lot of reviewers on Youtube point this out is that the G10 handle is not in proportion to the blade finger slot. It covers it up and makes wedging your finger into the whole hard to do. I had to use a nail to get in there and it was very annoying. I took mine to my sander and sanded the handle down and that really opened up the access to the hole but there is a point where you reach the frame so you can take off just enough before exposing the frame. I then took some 150 grit sand paper and smoothed out the roughness and it was much better. The problem I had with it then is that the handle was still little too thick and it needs a little bit better ergonomics for the finger placement so I took it back to the sander and put in indents near the finger hole and now it feels much much better. The only problem with that is that I went a little too far exposing some of the frame. I can see where the spring lies close to where the blade shut so that's probably why they didn't do it that way in the first place? But that would've really transformed the knife.Overall it's light weight, it has a good sharp blade and the action is smooth but I hate that I had to modify it right out of the box. CJRB if you read these, please update the design of this or make a Pyrite with a crossbar and light weight handle either way.

CJRB is winning!
Including this knife I now have 3 CJRB knives. I have a Pyrite, Large Pyrite and now the Hectare. This knife really good. There are two way to deploy the blade. There is a blade hole and crossbar lock. The crossbar lock is on point. It works really well. The blade hole deployment takes a little practice. The blade is super sharp and the G10 handle has some nice scales that are grippy. This is the perfect carry size and weight. Dollar for dollar, if you’re looking for great EDC knives that won’t decimate your pocket. CJRB makes awesome products.

Outstanding.
Buy this knife, you won't regret it. Extremely sharp, no blade play left or right, up or down. Perfect fit and finish. Good value for the money.

Almost great...
This could be the best higher end budget knife I own if they would have given just 10% more. First the pros: Absolutely gorgeous blade. The finish is impeccable and the "thumb" notch cutout in the blade makes it one of the most unique knives out there. Once you get the pivot tightened to your liking, this thing has a glide-like action that feels solid in your hand. Even the sound when the lock engages is satisfying. The cons: First, as plenty other reviewers have pointed out, the use of the "thumb" opening is extremely limited due to the frame not matching the outline. For me that isn't awful, since I find I use my ring finger to flick open knives more than my thumb anyway. The hole that the frame leaves is too tiny for an adult thumb. Also, the hardware CJRB put on this knife reminds me of gas station knives hardware. Very cheap and the finish will come off at the slightest abrasion. If Kizer and Vosteed can make a knife in this price range with decent (some would say beautiful) hardware. All in all it's a knife I will definitely hold on to simply for the unique look alone. The blade is nice enough that I might make my own frame and scales for it.

Superb and very high quality!
I couldn’t believe how nice this knife is for only $50. I have knives 4 times this price and aren’t as good. Extraordinary value here!

Budget winner
CJRB usually does well and offers great quality in the 40-60 dollar range. This knife is no different. Good blade shape and cutting geometry, it also came plenty sharp. The opening action is good and cross bar performs nicely. Lightweight with a nice edc size and an unintimidating profile. The only knock I have is that the access to the deployment hole could be better. At this price, if you like the way it looks the quality and performance won't disappoint you.
