Is Scotch "removable" tape the same as Scotch "wall-safe" tape?

NOOOO it is not the same. Both are one sided and both low tacky to a degree. However the removable tape is a substitute for sticky notes and a lot lighter tack than this WALL SAFE tape which means this tape is suppose to not pull paint off the wall when you remove any light weight item such as posters you taped up. A lighter version tape than say regular tape which some landlords and dorm rooms frown on. This Wall Tape is the choice many reach for to avoid the NO TAPE on wall rules. However the tack for the wall tape is stronger than the removable tape and it could damage some paper products or photos you taped up. Mind you neither of these tapes stick to DIRTY painted walls or surfaces. If you do not clean the wall first with soap and water then alochol at least 70% isoproyl but 90 is better. Allow to air dry at least an hour then either tape may fall short of expectations and items not stick. (I am surprised at the people who do not grasp that important issue. Meantime I often tape items to inside my cupboard doors like the # of trips we make and dates to doctor appointments 100 miles away to nearest specialists like eye exams etc. This way come tax season I have a quick record of those things. Also pass port renewal dates and drivers liscense renewals and Birthdate reminders. Taped to inside of cupboard where it's out of sight yes out of mind too sometimes. LOL. But this tape works well. And yes I must make sure the cabinet door inside is clean just like the any wall too. If you use a cleaning product they often leave residues that also work against these adhesives sticking well. Like pledge or similar but also many glass cleaners are not without additives that can leave a slight oily residue behind. I'm thinking about citrus cleaners they are terrible so DISH SOAP rinse with clean rag dry apply alcohol and allow to dry again always seems to work. This goes for appliances such as fridges too by the way. Any and all surfaces even ceramics for all adhesives period. But the wall is meant as a stronger adhesive than the removable.

Can this go on a window and easily come off a window?
