I purchased the KROFEM 8-Piece Outdoor Patio Set from GLdesign, and it turned out to be the most frustrating buying experience I’ve had in nearly a decade of online shopping. The product arrived damaged—torn cushions, stripped screw holes, flimsy materials, and multiple defective or missing parts. Assembly was a nightmare. It was clear the set was poorly manufactured and not remotely worth the price. When I contacted the seller to request a return, they offered me $50 to keep the broken furniture. I even tried to be reasonable and proposed a compromise: a $200 refund plus replacement parts to avoid the cost and hassle of a full return. That request was ignored. Eventually, I was instructed to return the item—only to discover that shipping it back via UPS would cost over $1,200, more than the item itself. I was told I would be reimbursed for the return, so I paid out of pocket and sent it back. Even after providing full documentation, tracking numbers for all three boxes, shipping receipts, and multiple follow-ups, I had to chase resolution for weeks. The seller was evasive, and the process was incredibly time-consuming—over 11 calls and 11+ hours of my time just to get a refund for a damaged product I didn’t want and paid to return. The furniture is low quality, but the real issue is the lack of accountability and professionalism from the seller. If anything goes wrong with your order, expect silence, stalling, and a painful claims process. Avoid this product and seller. Spend a little more for quality and peace of mind.
