It works, but could be improved
After using a very old set of helping hands with a magnifying headset, I decided to try something new. The main bar, clamps and holders are all identical to my 30 something year old set. The lack of a weighted base did worry me a little but has not caused any issues yet. The LED lights work quite well. Although I do feel an option to use a single Li-ion rechargeable battery instead of 3 AAA batteries would be helpful. This could be easily modified to use an external 18650, 14500 or 13400 battery. The iron holder is next to useless. Especially if you're left handed. Turning the arms and lens around doesn't work due to instability. More weight could be added to the base to solve this. But since I use a solder station with it's own holder I just removed this new holder from the base. The biggest issue I have is with the length of the flex for the lens. It's just too short. If it was just 1 or 2 cm longer it would be a lot easier to work with. The lens could be wider as well. The magnification level is fine, but a bigger lens will give better depth perception. As it is... it does work. It's a little less annoying than using my magnifying headset. But could be better.

Very useful
Very useful piece of kit, a must for any one who needs a third hand when soldering. The magnifying glass is very powerful and clear and the light enhances the area you’re working on.

bad product over all
You know what fixing we should use to hold the soldering iron holder in place? a plastic screw that the soldering iron can actually touch and melt after you put it in the holder the weight distribution in place also means that several times if you try to use the holder, that it will send the 400 degree iron down because there is no weighted base returned immediately, very bad quality and would not recommend

CHEAP AND NASTY
You pay for what you get!. Extremely cheap and very flimsy. The base is PLASTIC and carries no weight even with the batteries in. Both of my soldering irons fell through the holder and onto the plastic base. The clamps need pliers to tighten them down. In a nutshell spend a little more and get a better product.

Most Katsu products are basic but good. This one is not one of them. It is too weak and is barely suitable for very small work. Get another model.

The quality of the material is a little poor but it works fine regardless. Wish the stand had a little more weight to it to avoid it moving too much with accidental bumps

Ottimo prodotto, resistente ed esteticamente bello. Ovviamente è adatto a piccoli oggetti e comunque leggeri. Le braccia sono salde, la luce è ben orientata e il porta saldatore e utilissimo (io lo uso per miniature e lo ho messo i miei pennelli principali)
