Q: Has anyone used this product on longer pile area rugs? Forgive me if this question has been answered already.

My Pro Carpet Cleaner advised: “Before trying to clean those deep soaked wet stains-put a folded towel 4 layers thick on rug spot with a heavy book on top of wet spot overnight. It will soak up most of the liquid from both carpet and pad then clean your carpet”. To remove stubborn surface stains without soaking the pad. I use a spoon and a little rug cleaner--the spoon keeps the twist in the rug piles from unraveling and becoming weak and fuzzy-looking. Once the stain is lifted I rinse with my Bissell 3624 with a 1/4-vinegar/water solution to neutralize and remove the extra soap that stubborn spots may take. LEFTOVER SOAP ATTRACTS DIRT LIKE A MAGNET and if carpet is stiff or sticky when damp or dry it still has soap--rinse again without soaking carpet. Use towel dry method if it gets to wet. TO REMOVE THE PLASTIC CAP ON THE 3” BRUSH, remove from hose-- look down the hose end of the attachment you will see on the top inside a clear clip that looks something like ____/-- if you gently reach under the clip with your thumbnail to release the clip and that plastic cover can be removed for cleaning. I have 7 grandkids+lots of spots. I do not represent Bissell or Carpet Cleaners.

Q: Why is the spot cleaner sold as a bundle with cleaner that can only be used in a full size upright?

I’m sorry, mine was not like that...it came with a small trail sample and that was all. That does not make sense.

My wife loves this

Have Kids Buy This

We probably use this once a month. With 3 school aged kid's in the house and light colored carpet and furniture, it's a must. Portable, cleans amazing, easy to use, and easy to clean. What more could you ask for. Theres some concerns about the hose reliability from other reviewers. Hasn't been a problem for us. Seems like you'd have to treat it pretty rough for it to be a problem.

A must have!!!

A must have. It’s worth it’s weight in gold. Hands down the best thing to have for this small buy nasty spills. Works everytime. Instead of running to grab wet washcloths, I calmly walk to get the portable shampooer.
