A sprained ankle is the most common sports injury and the most usually re-injured. Often times the ankle rolls inwards bearing the whole weight of the body leading to ligament damage on the ankle. You need a foot wrap which you can use anytime, anywhere! The ActiveWrap Foot Ice and Heat Therapy Wrap comes with two specially formulated adjustable thermal pads. The foot support wrap is made with top quality active medical plush fabric material which is smooth and flexible. With ActiveWrap's specially formulated thermal pads and patented design, the ice/heat foot wrap stays in place providing firm supportive compression to your foot and ankle. Great Wrap for Ankles
I play a lot of basketball and volleyball. Tweaking my ankle is pretty much a given at this point. This wrap greatly helps with my recovery.

My new favorite ankle wrap
This is my second review for the ActiveWrap as I did one for the knee wrap, which I also like.I've got a few icing solutions/wraps for various body parts. This is my new favorite for ankle. Right now, I've got multiple fractures in my leg. One of them is outside ankle. Icing helps me a lot and when I take off the aircast, it's mostly just to ice down. This thing stays on securely and gives me the right amount of cold, (which I can adjust if I need to), right where I need it.Someone else pointed out there's a hole in the back where the heel is and they didn't like that. I do like it because it gives me a perfect fit and make it easy to see how to put on. If there's some reason you need ice right on your actual heel, this might not be the right product. But for everywhere else, it's great. One thing to watch for putting it on is make sure the bottom strap covers all the hook/loop fasteners. Otherwise if you go across carpet you can stick a bit; which isn't a bit deal, but if on crutches, any little annoyance like that can actually be a maybe problem. (Though yeah, maybe you shouldn't be hobbling around with this thing anyway.)Bottom line: This is my now favorite way to deal with ankle/knee icing. I find the cold therapy more effective for pain management than pain meds even. One other thing to consider if right on the edge of the sizing of the product is that too big can maybe be wrapped more, but too small won't work. Also, swelling means your parts might be somewhat bigger than you think. Maybe for most people sizing is easy, but it seems I'm exactly average or something so it took me a return or two to get it right and it ended up larger worked. That's gong to be personal obviously. Whatever. Love this product. It's helping me with some non-trivial pain issues.

Toss the brace. Toss the plastic sleeves. Just buy some inexpensive gel packs elsewhere instead.
Unfortunately, the only usable part of this product was the gel pack itself. The gel packs get warm very quickly (five minutes or so). Putting them inside the confined cloth/Velcro brace makes them warm up even more quickly. The plastic sleeves insulate the gel pack too much so the cold doesn't reach the skin. For my bursitis in the back of my ankle, the brace didn't work because it has a hole in the back of the ankle. SO, I've just been using the gel packs, stuffed into the back of my socks. Very expensive way to buy two gel packs, but it works.

Positions the ice pack perfectly for Achilles Tendinitis
I purchased this brand because it looked like the best one for positioning the ice pack low on the back of the heel for treating Achilles Tendinitis which after using it I can say that it works great for that purpose. I like that the pouch that holds the ice pack has a liner in it so that you can put the ice pack on the back side of the liner. The idea is to cool the inflamed area and not to freeze it. One thing that I would like to see improved is to have the wrap manufactured so that it has a 90 degree bend in it at the heel. Right now I would say the bend is more like 20 degrees at best. What this means is that when you position the wrap on the bottom of you foot it bunches up between the top of your foot and inside of your ankle. Not a super big deal but something that could be improved. That is the only reason I rated it at four starts. I am happy with the purchase.

Best Ice Wrap Line I've Ever Seen
I bought this as a gift for a friend who was really suffering after her foot surgery. She was following directions to ice her foot frequently, but she was holding a non-malleable brick-style icepack to her foot, so the contact it made with the affected area was minimal. My coworker got one of these for his ailing foot on my recommendation, and he loves it. My good friend loved this gift, too, and says it helped a ton. She has regular or perhaps even small feet, but I got her the XL to accommodate all the bandaging on said foot. The bandages are off and she still uses this regularly, but she doesn't walk on it while she's icing it.This is great for more configurations than you see in the photo. The ice repositions itself wherever you would like inside, or it comes out completely. They're very flexible despite having a basic flat shape, and really work on any body part we've needed it on. I personally have the activewrap wrist pack, and have used it on my neck, head, and back in addition to my wrist. They're really just fantastically adaptable, and again: the surface contact it makes and infinite configurations you can put it into make it the best wrap I've ever used or seen.I also purchased the wrist one for my physical therapist, as she wrists often hurt from working on people all day, and she loves hers, too.One warning: this is COLD. This is TOO cold. I had to get fingerless gloves to wear with mine, and my good friend uses a terrycloth tea towel for hers. It is MUCH to cold to us with only a thin liner, and will ice burn (or freeze) your skin. If you need something you can keep on your skin for longer and/or fall asleep with, get a Bed Buddy (or a knock-off; they're all the same and there are hand made ones on etsy) instead. I'd also be careful giving this to children, as even my fellow adults are prone to do foolish things with it.Half of my office has borrowed this from me, and then purchased their own later. I recommend the whole line. No, I'm not a shill - this is just that good.

Great for getting the cold right where you need it
Pros: So the ease of putting it on and being able to velcro the pack exactly where you need the ice or heat is great. No need to worry about spilling ice water or ice shifting if you move your foot. You can easiliy ice an ankle or top of foot or heal and have a nice secure fit. Also neat little bag for it to store it.Cons: It does not stay cold very long, I guess it helps so you don't over ice, but it does not keep a constant cold as tradition ice does. I think you would need to buy additional packs to sawp them out.All in all a decent product

Compression wrap with fully positionable ice packs
The two ice packs included stay cold and can be positioned in any number of locations inside the wrap, which allows you to customize where you are icing. The ice packs slide into sleeves which are then attached to the wrap with velcro. The ice packs stay flexible which allows them to conform to the ankle/foot, but the sleeves the packs slide into are somewhat stiff. I would recommend and order again.

Make sure to order more ice packs for spares
I ordered the Lg/XL by mistake, yet you can adjust to snug up. Love this product and the adjustability of moving the packs (via velcro) to other parts of the boot. Very lightweight and comfortable. Great investment after major foot surgery or otherwise!

Great Product for Therapy of Injured Foot / Ankle
Very good value. Very good product. Exceeded my expectations. Good coverage of soft tissues around foot and ankle. I had a pretty bad foot 'roll over' injury so there was lot of surface area involved. The cold packs laid right on top of what hurt. The gel-like, soft texture of the cold packs is one of several things that make this a really good product.Velcro straps are heavy duty and strong. Ice pack sleeves have Velcro patches that hold the two cold packs in place inside the wrap. Very convenient design for removing and re-inserting the packs. Very stable. It will stay on your foot when you crutch around and when resting. Largest size was perfect for my foot (typ.a Men's size 10-1/2). [Of course you can essentially forget about normal shoe size if your foot is swollen to twice its normal size - as was my case].Good investment for rehab / therapy. Highly recommended.

Side ankle only.
If you need side ankle icing this is for you, otherwise don't buy. Completely ineffective in any other position. Highly overpriced IMO. If you need a pack that offers various foot positioning, go with a rectangular pack (approx 4 X 12) with a long velcro strap that can be purchased on Amazon or from most store Pharmacies.

Great Product with some modifications.
Iām a fan of active wrap products. This product along with the other products that use the small and medium cold packs do not provide enough cold life. Recommend buying a second set of cold packs to either double up the packs inside the wrap or use one set for 10 to 15 minutes then switch out.

Stays cool
This is great. I was able to strap it on after 2 hours in the freezer. It stays cold for about 15-20 minutes depending on how warm my ankle was to begin with. But really, that's all the time you need. I love that it stays in place and I am able to walk around with it on. I had surgery and am experiencing major swelling (still 8 months out) so this has been perfect. I strap it on when I get home and son't have to worry about it slipping off while it's elevated; which was a major problem with ice packs before. It has super sturdy velcro that stays in place. I opted for the large since I so have swelling and it fits just fine.

so glad i made this purchase
i have chronic posterior tibial tendonitis and falling arches, and this thing is bringing me some much needed relief. so glad i made this purchase. the cold really conforms to the curves of the foot, so it is the most efficient means i've found to get therapeutic benefit of icing.

Effective
This is a very effective ahkle brace and ice/heat pack. It holds the cooling/heating pack just in the right area and the packs are soft jell like material so it molds to your ankle easily.

Bought this for my husband who has vascular and circulatory issues. This is the best for foot/ankle that we've seen and my husband swears by it, using it daily. Works great, is easy to take with you if you travel, and the gel pads freeze quickly and are plyable. Strongly recommend this product for any ankle/foot icing/heating needs.
