I have been dealing with my dryer's handle being broken for quite some time. I thought I could finagle a new dryer, but, alas, the consensus was it functions well otherwise and to just deal with it. I decided I would research options and found this handle. It is metal and not plastic, like the original handle. It wasn't difficult to install, but more than I expected since I had to remove several screws on the dryer door itself. Now I have a fully functional door handle that I was able to repair and saved a lot of money in the process.

This aluminum handle is better than the original plastic part. Easy to install, and it should outlive the dryer. This part comes with its own machine screws, which are different from the original courser-thread screws that worked with the original all-plastic part. I'd definitely buy this part again.

This is a much better handle than the original that came on our dryer. The original was made of plastic and after a few years it cracked, the other day it broke off completely and we started searching for a replacement. The ones we found first were the same plastic and then we found this metal one, so we ordered it hoping it was better than any plastic and turns out of course we were right. Now I hope it holds up for a very long time. Went on easily in just a few minutes and seems very sturdy. Even looks better than original. The companies need to use this on all brands of dryers with these handles which seems to be several dryers.

This is the handle the whirlpool engineers wanted on your dryer. There is no chance this one is going to crack like the one that was on there originally. When my plastic handle broke after 16 years I thought to myself that I wished there was a metal one I could install as a replacement. Low and behold, here it is! If you like replacing that handle every few years, buy one of the plastic ones for half the price. If you want this to be the last time you find that the dryer handle has broken, buy this one. As far as installation goes, if you can turn a screw driver, you can replace this handle in about 5 minutes.

Fits great and easy to install

This Replacement is made out of metal, not plastic like the one that comes on the dryer when you purchase it. Well worth the extra money, this one is comfortable and strong. It will never break. If you buy the factory replacement because you are trying to save money, forget it! The plastic factory handle will break again and you will have spent more than if you just buy this one first. Not to mention the Aggravation and time you will spend replacing the plastic handle time and time again!This is the only metal replacement on the internet that I could find. I would gladly of spent even more because I never have to worry about this breaking again. Wife is happy as well and that is the best thing about this purchase.

This fit perfectly on our Kenmore elite he3 dryer (made by whirlpool). The color is also a perfect match. I have replaced the original OEM plastic handle 3 times before eventually duct-taping a rope pull to the door. I can't describe how ugly that was for the past 5 years, but it did work with having to replace the duct tape once or twice a year. This full metal handle is a great replacement and it is so sturdy that I know it will outlast the dryer. After installing it we kept opening and closing dryer for 5 minutes in amazement. Sometimes it's the little things that make life that make it worth living :-)
