Great for 1/16 Erevo VXL
The media could not be loaded. Easy clip on, plug in set up. No need for thermal paste. Fan works great and keeps my Velineon 380/3370 cool after long runs.

Arrma Granite Grom
Got this for my granite grom because where I live it gets pretty hot and I would only get through a half a battery before it would burn up and shut down. Mind you this rig is completely stock and I’ve never had to replace anything on it. I replaced the motor and installed this heat shrink/fan combo. I just ran my grom pretty hard, nonstop through 2 fully charged 2s batteries and the motor never shut down prior to the batteries dying. I gave it a 15 minute cool down between each battery. This combo is a must and I will be ordering another for my Mojave Grom when I get it. Thank you!

Effective Cooling Solution, But Consider Design and Noise
The heat sink itself is well-made and feels durable. It securely attaches to the motor, providing good contact for heat transfer. The addition of the cooling fan is a significant advantage, as it helps to enhance the cooling process by actively circulating air around the motor. In terms of cooling effectiveness, I have noticed a noticeable improvement in motor temperatures during extended use. The heat sink and fan combination effectively keeps the motor temperature within acceptable limits, preventing overheating and potential damage. This is especially important during demanding RC activities or warm weather conditions. However, there are a couple of considerations to keep in mind. Firstly, the design of the heat sink may interfere with other components in your RC car. Depending on the layout and space availability, you may need to make adjustments or find alternative mounting options to ensure proper fitment. It's essential to double-check compatibility with your specific model before purchasing.Another factor to consider is the noise produced by the cooling fan. While not excessively loud, the fan does generate a noticeable humming sound when in operation. For some users, this may not be an issue, but for those who prefer a quieter RC experience, it's something to keep in mind.Installation of the heat sink and fan was relatively straightforward, and the necessary mounting hardware was included. The fan is powered by a 5V power source, and connecting it was a simple process. In summary, the Hobby Fans RC Motor Heat Sink with 5V Cooling Fan provides an effective cooling solution for RC motor heat management. It effectively dissipates heat and helps maintain optimal motor temperatures. However, consider the design compatibility with your RC car and the noise generated by the cooling fan. If these aspects align with your requirements, this cooling solution is a worthwhile investment to protect your motor and enhance performance.
