I was born and raised in Uzbekistan, so I am very familiar with Zigir Yog oil for at least 40-45 years. I have been making plov myself once a month for 10 years. This oil smells right and looks the right color, but it is definitely diluted by a lot. I currently have the original Zigir oil in my home and I can compare them - they are very different. The original Zigir recipe requires adding 25% to the base oil (I use avocado oil), but with this oil I will need at least 40%. Will I return this oil? No, I will use it. Will I buy it again? No, I will not. I have another source where I can get the original oil at the same price. I plan to make plov with this oil on Sunday and will post an image of it.
