Voucher was a good idea for a present for family members

I tried to use this card before the activation date, but had no money on it, now read that’s it’s from the date of purchase not the date given , I did leave it too a day before I was told it would run out but a week after it was purchased, they do need to make this clear that it runs out a year after you purchase it.
