Great for little HP fans
Great looking basilisk if you’re a Harry Potter fan. Great detail on head and mouth.

A bit small but pretty detailed
This little fella can work nicely as a decent sized monster for 1:18 figures, and at 1:12 it feels like a more generic enemy. The wire inside the figure makes it pretty posable, but it needed to reach the head so the neck can move. i kinda wished that the body was a couple of balljoints, soon or later either the wire or the body would break.

Basilisk
The posing is quite limited and it’s not as long as I wanted but it’s okay I guess

Nice take of the mythical Basilisk
Papo did a nice job of creating figures from mythology, using a sturdy soft plastic and doing nice paintwork. The basilisk has no legs so they used an internal wire to allow you to bend the snake-like figure into various arcs.

We bought this thinking that it had mechanical joints to allow it to bend. In the low resolution marketing photos it wasn't clear, but to our eyes it looked like that. Didn't check any video reviews. It turns out that it has an internal wire on a kind of rubber or soft plastic. The wire will no doubt fatigue and snap after who knows how many bends. It won't last as long. We're a bit disappointed by that but I guess we should have done more research. Just a warning to others who like us were after a mechanically articulated figure. Otherwise the design is very nice. We love that aspect.

It's made of a soft plastic, is nicely detailed and well painted. Running through its length is a metal rod. It can be bent or coiled into a pose. Arrived quickly. I'm using mine to embellish another item for which it was perfect. I took a craft knife to it to take the bits I wanted.
