This book is a quick read and a good overview of play piercing
This book is a quick read and a good overview of play piercing. As a play piercer/piercee with many years of experience, the information was not new to me, but it was solid information and I appreciate seeing it laid out in such an accessible manner . Although nothing can or should ever replace hands-on learning with an experienced piercer, this book is a great supplementary resource for beginners.*was a bit distracted by the use of the word "skinsuit" but appreciated the spiritual and sensual consideration given to chakra and energy play*

Excellent and Informative
This has to be one of the best fetish books I have ever read.I never planned on getting into play piercing, but my partner is deeply interested in it. This book helped me understand the practical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual aspects of needle play.Over the course of reading it I went from being deeply hesitant to being eager to try piercing.The author does an excellent job of making the reader comfortable with her subject.This book is well written, carefully researched, and very informative. The material is presented in an easy to understand yet very responsible manner. The safety information was very thorough.Careful though, some passages are a bit intense.

Its got the deets, although totally erotic-oriented
Ive been play piercing for about 4 years, so I have a little experience and knowledge about what I'm doing however this book did give me some good ideas and information that I was looking for, especially about the more subjective parts of the experience for the piercee. It is definitely written from an erotic play standpoint, which is interesting for some and would prolly scare others. But all in all, this is an informative and really useful book. Well written and informative, a good addition to any play-piercer/piercee/sub/dom's library.

"Skinsuit" = creepy
This is probably a great book for some people. I teach play piercing, and wanted to expand my knowledge base, but I just couldn't handle reading iit for very long.I can deal the ideology of "the spirit, soul, the Divine, the Universe, the All." Though exactly why it's in a play piercing book, I'm not sure.What I couldn't handle was the use of "skinsuit" as a reference to the largest organ of our body, our skin.It's all a bunch of woo-woo stuff about body and spirit being different, so reference to the outer body that has no spirit. Or some such.The use of "skinsuit" was something I just couldn't get past, and therefore can't say if the information is wonderful or not. (Either way, do not try this at home, kiddies)

A must own reference for experienced, a must read for those wanting to learn
Lots of instruction as to the precautions, safety concerns and how to in piercing. I learned this a long time ago and this book was a great refresher for some things I may overlook. Good to keep around for reference for experienced piercers

Body Piercing Book
I received the book on time and in the condition advertised. It was exactly what I expected and I'm pleased with it. The information isn't too technical and it is relevent to the topic. It definitely meets my current needs and expectations.

A book intended to titillate but it never informs
Being blunt this book is probably the worst book on play piercing that I have ever seen.It tries to constantly evoke some bizarre form of spirituality by doing such things as referring to the human body as a "skin suit"There is also a far too great a number of "vignettes".These are tedious drivel masquerading as spicy little tales referred to on the cover notes as "... plenty of steamy real-life anecdotes of piercers, piercees and the connection between them".Then of course there is the authors admission that she is a vapirist and enjoys ingesting human blood - whoa there tiger!Overall there is far more useful and SAFE information available by searching the web.This book is absolute rubbish and over priced rubbish at that.If I could give it zero stars I would but I'm stuck with a 1 minimum.
