Our best choice for monitoring an elder
These cameras are working great. We use them to monitor our mom at a home nearby. We do not generally talk to her over the camera so as not to disconcert her, but we have used the chat feature to talk to a caregiver on occasion. The sound quality is quite clear and the picture is great. The night vision also works great, although we generally don't need that.We use the tapo app, which is free, with four cameras in place around the home. We do not need the paid monitoring features because we are only interested in current images, not past recordings. The pan and zoom features are helpful, and the presence of the cameras has not been disruptive. The high resolution is worth paying for and while this may provide access to our images to someone in China, this is not of interest or concern to us or to them. This has been a great resource to complement on site caregiving, as our five minute response time from around the corner is better than we could expect in any assisted living situation.

very good
excellent product at a great price. Super easy to set up using the app, it connected right away to my alexa, and I love the pan and tilt feature. Picture is clear and the sound is good. I will get another one just like this for a family member.

Best camera I've bought in ages.
Actually can't believe that I ever bought a Nanit. We now use this as our main camera for babies. It is inexpensive, reliable, and easy to set up. I don't like leaving things plugged in like this due to security issues. However, every time I plug this camera back in it works perfectly in seconds. The output is excellent letting me see everything in the room. The app is also great to use. I have no complaints at all.

Decent camera to watch my dog
Decent camera for the price, I got it to check on my dog while at work and it serves its purpose. It does detect motion however, if he moves too quickly across the camera, then the tracking stops. The app is super easy to use and I love that I can save images and videos on the SD cards I bought for it. I'm not sure if would be the best for security outside, but it works for me!

Perfect for Smart Home Projects: Full Compatibility with HomeKit, RTSP, and more
The Tapo C225 camera is by far the best camera I’ve ever purchased—simple, hassle-free, and incredibly easy to install. Its ceiling-mount system is brilliantly designed: it’s extremely easy to attach and remove, and you can reinstall it just as effortlessly if needed. It offers a wide range of features, a very responsive interface, and excellent image quality. What really surprised me at this price point is how advanced the technology is—especially for smart home projects. One of its most impressive features, which even many high-end cameras lack, is the ability to work with both RTSP and HomeKit Secure Video simultaneously. Tapo got this absolutely right. The camera receives regular updates, and if you prefer to work exclusively within the Apple ecosystem, it supports facial recognition, live streaming, and iCloud recording through HomeKit.If you’re looking for a camera with full native HomeKit support at a great price, this is the best option out there. It also integrates perfectly with Alexa, Google Assistant, and Home Assistant.I originally bought it just to test it out, but it completely exceeded my expectations. Tapo delivers great quality at an amazing price. I truly hope they release more models like this with native HomeKit compatibility.

Fantastic!
I wanted to keep an eye on my dog While I left the room or when I’m in bed and can’t see him, and this camera works great! The picture quality is so much better than I anticipated for a $17 camera. It even has night vision as you can see in my picture. It’s really easy to set up and mount however, I used a different mount than it came with so that I could look around the corner. I really like the two way talk feature so that I can tell my boy to stop what he’s doing if he’s being naughty. There is slight lag, but honestly, it’s like a second or two, and to be honest, it’s probably more of a network issue than a camera issue because we have multiple cameras and devices as a five person household so the Internet is stretched thin. It’s also so easy to rotate the image in the app if you hang it upside down, plus the app has so many great features in general.

Great camera for a great price.
Great cheap camera. Our toddler has been getting up in the middle of the night and this just let us see when and what he was doing. Night vision is great.2 way audio is nice though we don't use it. Tracking mostly works, though sometimes it'll rotate too far following someome then not be pointing where foot traffic is so it won't pick up motion and reorient itself. Not really a big deal, we aren't using this for 24/7 security, and if we mounted it on the wall instead of just putting it on the mantle, that wouldn't be a problem. App is also nice and all the configuration possibilities.
