We have a rescue dog that has always pulled hard on the leash. We tried different leashes and vests, but this one gives us the most control and is the most humane when it comes to controlling him. Now, he doesn't pull near as much as he did with the regular leashes and vests. The vests are the worst when trying to teach your dog to heel or control his behavior towards other dogs because it cradles them and only makes things worse when he wants to confront another dog. With this leash, he now sits when other dogs walk by whereas before he would go off on a barking spree unable to even hear commands.But now, he listens so much better and we can tell, he's happier now that he's settled into the new leash. He likes it SO much better than his vest. We used to have to chase him down to put the vest on. Now, he sits and waits for us to put the leash on him. Best of all, we have much more control over him, so we know we can keep him safe and out of harm's way.There are a couple of things I'd suggest:(1) There are two locking beads to control how far open and how tight the leash loop can be. I found that I only need the outside bead that keeps it from opening and coming off his neck. I don't need the inside bead, because he stops choking himself when he feels the leash tighten up and the rope is large enough in diameter that the loop opens back up as soon as he stops pulling. So I slide the inside bead all the way toward the inside part of the collar to get it out of the way.(2) Keep the leash up high on his neck so that the rope is up high under his jowls and the loop comes up around and behind his ears when you want the most control and want him to heel.Highly recommended and the price is a no brainer.

I have a few different types of slip-leads, and this is the best yet. I really like the loop for your hand - it is a nice material and has some give, so it doesn't hurt your hand when the dog pulls. The only problem I have had is on pups with longer hair because it gets caught in the spring-loaded stopper near the neck, but patience and a good dog that stands still while you get the hair out of the stopper is all you need.

This lead does not work as well as the simple, basic slip lead. It is stretchy (bad idea) so is abrasive again the skin and negates the training effect. Also, it is much too long, has an uncomfortable handle, and two slider stops when only one is needed or used.

It's a good slip lead! The mechanism to loosen and tighten is great. However, the leash feels a bit thinner than expected, more like double the size of a shoelace. Personally, I prefer a thicker leash, but it gets the job done. The picture on product page on amazon makes it seem thicker than it is, so little disappointed about that.

When other big dog owners have asked what products I use & recommend, I quickly suggest this 'Raipult Slip Lead Dog Leash.' It undoubtedly has become a MUST have. This leash has a different design feature on the stopper that intrigued me to test it out. It is indeed more effective than other leashes I have owned. Once fastened it stays in place. I have walked, run, and rode my bike while securely holding my 120 lbs. Rottie on this leash. The stopper has held up well. I don't need to worry anymore about the security of my dog. And it doesn't hurt that it's stylish. I usually don't come across affordable and yet stylish options for big dogs. So, it's no surprise that I 1,000% recommend this leash to anyone.

We're using this for leash training for our very large and powerful mastiff mix. The leash is thin, but strong, and it's easy to use and comfortable to hold. We are hoping that we can teach her to stop pulling so we can go back to a normal leash.
