Professional Handmade 8" Damascus Chefs Knife, 67-layer Damascus Chef Knife with VG10 Super Steel Core

We received the knife and tested it for sharpness. It is sharp and perfectly weighted so that it basically sinks through whatever you are cutting before you can make a one way cut. It looks terrific as well. I am sure we will have to sharpen it one day, but it has replaced my Henkel professional series 10" chef's knife as my go to prep knife. If you buy this knife--at about half the price of similar knives offered at Amazon--you will be thrilled.

Looks & Feels Fantastic! Cuts well. What a pleasure to use this for cooking. I'm glad I didn't spend my $$$ on some German knife, as this one is Beautiful & the German ones just look to functional IMO.Disclaimer - I've only had this for a short time, but the box alone makes me feel like a Highly Paid Professional Chef when I open it to pull the knife out each time. I'm interested to know if the sharpness will last.

The knife itself is excellent - the same steel and very close in performance and appearance to my Enso chef knife. So I ordered one to give as a gift. The knife box arrived in a plastic bag, and was damaged. Inside, the knife tip was broken, both tip protectors were off, and the knife was missing some packing foam. The return was easy and ordered another. It also came in a plastic bag, was missing the padding and the tip protectors, and the knife wasn't in it's cutout. The knife this time appears intact.However, it's obvious both were returns, and seem to have been shipped out without even being inspected? So this is as much an alert for the company, which makes a great product - as it is for buyers thinking of giving it as a gift or just wanting a complete product.

It's sharp and easy to use. It's very convenient to cut fruit and cut things. It's sharp. It's not sloppy when cutting. The appearance is high-end and high-grade. The knives at home are a little worn. I bought a new knife to cut fruit. After a period of time on the Internet, I chose the one with high performance price ratio. When it arrived, there was no damage. It was worth supporting. If the cost performance ratio was higher, it would be better.

I am a knife freak and bought this relatively inexpensive Damascus blade not expecting the performance that it is delivering. It holds a super sharp edge and makes short work of kitchen duties. Beautiful to look at, beautiful to hold and a delight to cut, chop, slice and dice with. I bought another for a gift to a friend.

I bought this for my mother for Christmas, I pulled it out of the box to make sure everything was up to par, I couldn't have been more surprised. It's a truly beautiful piece. It's amazingly comfortable to hold, the Damascus is beautiful and it's extremely sharp. It's been the only kitchen knife she's used since.

The blade looks like real damascus, and I like G10 for both durability and grip. Can't say at this time if the HRC is accurate. What is special about this knife is that it doesn't have the typical Chinese sharp edges at the bolster and butt. The transitions from G10 to metal are excellent. The only negative is the lack of a tapered blade which compromises delicate work at the tip. If the blade were tapered, this would be a 5-star knife.

This is a great cheap Damascus knife. I'm not used to the blade geometry, but oh it is nice!!!! Cut my finger in the first 20 seconds using it, but I now have what I have lusted after - a VG10 damascus knife :)
