Huge Time Saver!
I live in the woods and things get pretty dirty with dirt and algae due to lack of light. I've been using the AR Blue Clean 383 for about 4 years to pressure wash my concrete walkway, patio, siding, deck every Spring. Previously, I used it in the widest fan pattern up close to get a wider area clean each pass. This new attachment is a game changer for me as it's quadrupled the width of each pass. It must be used properly to be effective and not get the spirograph pattern, but it works great. You need to move slowly to get the area clean without leaving a pattern. On my concrete walkway, the concrete is a rougher texture. I could only pull the rotary head back towards myself. If I tried to push it forwards, it would flip as others had mentioned, but it's an easy workaround - only pull back. On my stamped concrete patio, the texture of the concrete is much smoother and it moves any direction with ease. I would say for the few hours that I used it to clean my concrete, it easily cut my work time in half. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

Great add-on for light surface cleaning and maintaining
Purchased primarily for cleaning our outdoor PVC deck, I’ve had good experience with my ARClean 1800psi power washer. Living in the PacificNorthwest we get a high buildup of moss and mold esp in the winter and early spring. For the first cleaning I do each year, the 1800 psi direct spray is required to deep clean the deck surface— however doing so requires significant time and copious amounts of water. This attachment comes in handy for ongoing maintaining and light cleaning. The increased surface area of the brush combined with the two rotating heads, are very effective in removing light dirt, pollen, tree droppings, bird poop etc. I was able to clean the entire deck surface in about 90 minutes; where using the spray nozzle only would usually take 4-5 hours. So if regular maintenance and light cleaning are what you’re looking, this attachment fits the bill and will save lots of time and water. Pro Tip: as in the video repeated runs slowly and with light scrubbing motion over small surfaces works much better than long runs and pressing down hard on the brush head. Doing so will leave “spiral” marks on your deck and will only require you to go over the same area twice. Motto: low and slow.

Matched well to AR Blue - but “floaty”
This unit performed very well cleaning faster than just using the wand. It is a very lightweight unit, which tends to “float up” and sometimes tip sideways. While I like the lighter weight, it seem as though it should have a ring of weight on top to help keep it down, which would improve the cleaning capabilities.

Works surprisingly well on concrete!
The short form is: It WORKS! Even on fairly rough and dirty 23-year-old Florida concrete! There are 2 AR Blue Clean surface cleaner attachments, the cheaper one and this one. After checking out the website, I felt like this looked like the newer of the 2 models and thought I'd give it a try, even at double the other attachment's price. It's very easy to use. It came ready-to-use right out of the box. Bayonet the extender to the attachment, then bayonet the attachment to the pressure washer handle. Place the disk in contact with the surface and pull the trigger. PULL IT TOWARD YOU slowly. Take your time and overlap strokes. And then marvel at how you never would've guessed an electric pressure washer could do quite so good a job. Some oddities: The most noticeable upset is the 12" disk is smaller than you'd otherwise wish for. Depending on your overlap, your cleaning swath could be as narrow as 6". Just takes more time. But what were you expecting? A gas pressure washer? It's super-light, which is pretty surprising if you're used to the gas pressure washer surface cleaner attachment. Keep the cleaner disk totally in contact with the surface, which is key for the cleaning effect. It doesn't glide quite like the gas attachment does. On rough concrete like mine, I can only pull. The attachment goes in equally well rightside-up as upside-down. It works equally well both ways. Ask me how I know. But ergonomically, you'll find one way is better than the other. I haven't used the detergent bottle yet. Other remarks: I turned on the washer a foot or so away from my leg just to see how powerful it was...and it didn't sting or anything. With the ordinary lance on the end, the same thing would definitely sting. So that implies to me the nozzles in the attachment are keyed to just the right distance so as to maximize the cleaning effect on your surface. The real cleaning effect seems to come from the hurricane-like spinning nozzles rather than the raw power of the pressure washer. That's good for safety, and overspray if you get the disk down wrong isn't too bad either. 5 stars!

Not worth the money
The regular wand does a better job and it is tiring to push around.

Works with the AR 383 1900 PSI
The wand attaches just like the AR 383 wands. You have to push it all the way in and then turn it. It takes a bit of muscle to push it in, but it works. I'm not sure what the included adapter is for. The instructions are useless. I hooked it up and turned it on. It flopped around a bit. As others have mentioned, it only works if you pull it toward yourself. The words AR Blue Clean should be facing you. Otherwise, it flops around. Pushing it didn't accomplish much. You also don't need to push down. Just pull it toward yourself and let it glide. You also have to pull it very slowly. If you pull too fast, you get rings of dirty areas. It took a few minutes to get used to it, but eventually it worked OK. Cleaning my driveway without the surface cleaner takes about 6-7 hours. With the surface cleaner, it took about 4 hours. The extension lance allows you to stand up relatively straight. (I'm 5 10). Without the surface cleaner, I had to bend over to get the 383 to work. The surface cleaner gives you a 6 to 8 inch cleaning area compared to 2-3 inches with just the 383 wand. I used it with just water. No cleaner. All in all, it did an OK job and it is much faster. I'm not sure how durable it will be, but I only pressure wash the driveway once a year and it is OK after my first attempt. Update:11/17/23. When I used this, every area I washed looked clean. A few weeks later, I noticed stripes on the driveway. I don't understand how they got there since the surface cleaner jets spin around and the cleaning should be uniform. See picture.

Good for dirt and grime, but won’t handle mold
After 8 years in our house, I decided that I was sick of the mold and crud on the concrete drive way and sidewalks. I looked at patio cleaners and decided to give this a try. I have a blue clean ar240 and I used the orange Krud Kutter cleaner for concrete and driveways. Overall I’d say the patio cleaner did ok, but it’s not going to remove everything. While it does do a good job of removing dirt accumulated from rain and the elements, it’s not powerful enough to remove mold (at least with the Krud Kutter by itself). The nice thing about it is that it does make the concrete whiter, but you still need the wand to make a skinny fan shaped water jet to scrape off the green or black mold that forms over time. Overall, I’m happy with the purchase and I do believe it saved time by cleaning off the dirt so I can focus on the mold spots. It’s just not a magical remove everything tool. If you don’t let the driveway cleaning go like I did, this is much faster than using a wand. It still took me two and a half days to use the patio cleaner and wand to clean the driveway and sidewalk (more sidewalk to the right). And don’t forget to put sunscreen on your feet like I did if you do this barefoot :-(

Works Well!
I have to agree with several other reviewers, this attachment works very well. I have an older AR power washer which worked fine but the older attachment that came with it didn’t seem effective in cleaning any more. I used the PW41581 attachment with my power washer, and the results were great. I live in the country and the cement driveway and patio spots got pretty dirty due to rain and the elements over the last 2-3 years. As others have noted, I found that to really clean the areas well, one will need to move slowly and pulling towards oneself (IE walking backwards), otherwise the attachment will flip.
