Easy to use, and makes small platters well.

I recently got into hand building for pottery. I love that these molds can be used stacked together to make a deep bowl or individually to make a more shallow dish. i’ve also used just a couple stacked together for a b-late type of dish. They seem durable so far. Make sure they are able to dry out after or they will grow mold.

I have used these for plates and bowls. The plates came out great because you can make different sizes to fit your needs. For bowls, they will leave lines from the stack in your bowls. I tried to sand them out, but finally gave up and decided I would call it “texture”. 😀

The pieces that I made using these forms tended to dry with a warped center and thus end up rocking. Also the pieces when lined up to make a deeper dish, do not mesh well leaving bigger ridges than what I would like to deal with. When a price seems too good to be true, it usually is just that.

These molds are sturdy and work well for hand pottery. There is a good size/variety for the price as well.

Great for slab pottery making

I’ve used them and it takes a little patience to not have rings on your bowl but they are easy to use and they clean up nicely.
