Great set on paper, but battery train doesn't work. Good Customer Support
The overall set is a great deal on paper. A few things to note:(1) Only the core tracks and some accessories (trees) are wooden. The crane and a few of the track pieces are plastic.(2) Our battery-powered locomotive does not work well and is poorly made. The gears often get stuck and simply will not propel the train, much less anything attached to it.Since we bought this because of the added locomotive train (~$10 elsewhere), this was no longer a great deal. Fairly unhappy with that but everything else about the set is fine.UPDATE 5/24/23: Customer Support was very supportive in helping me with a solution.

Broken bridge..
I was disappointed because the bridge was broken in this set. As you can see, the box was smashed also. Can I get a replacement bridge without sending everything else back. I wanted it set up for Christmas

Fantastic Features, Frustrating Tracks
I recently purchased a wooden train set for my sons, ages 2 and 4, and while they absolutely adore the set, there's one significant downside that's been a source of frustration for both them and me.Let's start with the positives: the train set comes with an abundance of features that keep my kids entertained for hours on end. From the small train and carts to the adorable figurines, there's no shortage of imaginative play opportunities. The wooden tracks are also well-crafted and sturdy, providing a solid foundation for endless train adventures. However, the biggest drawback lies in the track's design – they detach too easily. Despite my best efforts to secure them, the tracks often come apart during playtime, leaving my boys feeling frustrated and interrupting their play sessions. This issue not only dampens their enjoyment but also requires constant supervision and reassembly, which can be exhausting for me as a parent. To remedy this situation, I'm considering investing in a dedicated table for the train set and permanently fixing the tracks in place. While this solution may require some effort and additional expense, I believe it will ultimately provide a more stable and enjoyable play experience for my children.Overall, despite the inconvenience caused by the detachable tracks, I'm still pleased with the wooden train set's quality and features. With a few adjustments, it has the potential to be a long-lasting favorite in our household.

Track will easily fall apart
My son 6 years old loves the set. We didn't put the track exactly like the picture on the box. We followed someone on YouTube put the track together because I wanted my son to be included in the put together process. After watching and pulse on repeat he decided to just place the track as shown. He figured out he could connect the track like this while watching. So if he is happy I am happy. He loves it, but if he was any younger the track would be falling apart so much more than it has tonight. I wouldn't buy it unless the child were 5 and older and has gentle hands. So in other words parents you can leave them alone longer with playdoh than you can with this train set. I say that because you will have to drop everything and help place it back together. I plan to get another one for Christmas and I will make sure to get one that's more sturdy. It got it due to the price and I wasn't sure if he would play with it one time and it become old news the following day like so many other toys. I believe he will play with it again and again. Just wish connecting the pieces were more sturdy.
