Works very well and fits our wide staircase entryway very well, almost exactly. We loved the stickers that came with it to show placement on the wall for the screws - that was very helpful instead of guessing where the screws will go or trying to measure it. Installation for that reason was easy. The lock itself works well, our 2 and 4 year old haven't figured it out though they try and I don't believe they will figure it out unless we specifically tell them. The height is perfect for us as we use it on the first staircase and not on the floor. I also bought this one specifically for the downstairs entryway as it can be retracted when kids are not home and doesn't stick out/jut in the way as other normal gates do and it looks relatively nice (as much as it can) when actively open. As long as it fits your entryway, I would definitely get this!

Very easy to install. Works very well, is sturdy, and seems as if it was well made. I needed something for a larger opening than a typical door size. Other standard baby gates were over double the price. It slides very well, hooks easily but you do need two hands just for ease of hooking it. Probably wouldn’t be sturdy enough if you want a child to be able to hang on it, but we are just using it to keep the dogs out of a room. Happy with my purchase.

When I installed a pet door from the LR to the garage (there is a second pet door from the garage to a pet lot), I was concerned that my dog could slip out the garage while the garage door was open or, worse, get under the wheels of the car. This retractable pet gate was an outstanding solution. First, it is a strong barrier for my medium size dog; and second, it can be used between wide spaces that most hard gates can't span. The design of the handle is another well thought out feature, as it is wide enough for a good grip and by turning it a slight angle to the mesh, it is super easy to insert the loops over the hooks. And easy to install! I have waited several months to share my experience to be sure the retraction spring didn't weaken, but it has continued to work consistently well. Highly recommend this product.

Arrived by Amazon as expected. I'm a very "consistent" shopper. This product has not disappointed. It was as of described very easy installation. It looks good and does what I needed to do. I do have train dogs I'm sure if you have one that is mysterious and horse coil Pandora child the same they could probably rip it up with some work. My dog know that barriers me do not cross. This is going to be so great for what I want to keep them out of certain areas especially is when visitors come over and then maybe don't want dogs around. I definitely recommend this for anyone needing to block off an area for a rather a pet or a child. The lock is very easy to use it's a great value for the money. I followed the instructions and drilled and screwed in as instructed very it is very sturdy. Size is perfect and the push button makes it easy to take off. Update after having for a while: I have down graded my to 4 stars. The gate itself is nice. All i stated before about installation etc stands. The issue is as I have read other reviews the dogs and children that are persistent WILL go under the gate. The three dogs i have, only one is determined. It never fails when he decides he wants through his 65lb self goes right underneath. I currently have grandchildren visiting from out of state. One climbs over the younger two go right underneath. It is suggested that there be a way to secure the bottom better so it is not so easy to raise/move.

So much better than the bulky ugly gates! This is seamless to use and doesn’t mess up the vibe of our home! It’s sleek and not noticeable until it’s up and it keeps your kids where they need to be since you can lock it

We loved it! Bought it to have baby away from the kitchen. We wanted something better looking than the normal baby gates since we already have 2 on the other side of the living room. It was very easy to install (the directions and stickers for the holes are perfect). Sturdy and does its job! Great price for the product! I do think it might not be the best choice if you have a strong older kid (although it’s firm and locks in place, it still bounces a bit).

Good gate that keeps kids and pets in/out of my office when working from home well. I just ordered a second one for the hallway to replace an old metal fence-style gate. The convenience of being able to quickly retract the gate to allow for vacuuming, or moving from one room to the other is worth every penny. I will say that the wall anchors that come with the gate are quite weak. I would recommend using your own heavy-duty drywall anchors if you are like me and live in a paper mache walls American home. Other than that, it looks great, fits pretty much every use case I need for it, and is easy to operate with one hand when carrying my kiddo or if my hands are full.
