My GERD has recently dipped down worse again after being lazy with it the last few years and I have a likely hiatal hernia + acid reflux. Back in the day when I was trying harder I used those bed risers and lifted the top half of my bed. But this likely puts strain on your bed frame. I was lucky back then because it was a solid wood bed frame. They don’t make stuff like they used to so I knew my Amazon bed frame was not about to survive that treatment. I found these foam mattress wedges and I knew they were the right call. I have a THICK Original Mattress Factory mattress. I got the 7” one and I’m so glad I did. It raises you up just right. I have it underneath my mattress so it stays completely clean. Will you slide down a little when you use these? Yeah maybe. If you raise the head of your bed with risers you’ll also slide down. But it’s not crazy. Just depends how much you move around at night honestly. I was also happy that it didn’t have much of a smell when opening it up. Just that fresh foam smell. It’s also true to size for my Queen bed. Sits right inside the frame area and doesn’t overhang. It was weirdly easy to install even with my heavy mattress and I was by myself. Had to use some elbow grease but I made it happen. Great bang for your buck and it doesn’t harm the integrity of your bed frame or mattress which I love.

Exactly what I wanted. I no longer have to bend at the waist to sleep elevated. I'm a side sleeper so that got to be uncomfortable. The gentle slope is perfect. It helps with both reflux and vertigo. It works best under the mattress.

I purchased this wedge after researching reviews. I received the wedge mattress and let it air out and expand per the instructions. It expanded to 6 1/4 inches. I added the wedge between the box springs and mattress. I put a duvet cover over the mattress to help with handling the wedge. The first night was rough trying to sleep. One of the reasons I added it to my bed over the weekend. It will not cure acid reflux it does lessen the occurrence at night if you eat less acidic foods. I hope this helps. I gave it 4 stars because it is cumbersome to handle for one person.

It took me 6 weeks to off-gas the unhealthy and nasty toxic fumes of the foam in my spare room, with the window open and fan on. Don't let anyone tell you it's just an unpleasant scent. It's toxic to anyone that breathes. Now that I can actually put it in my bed I see that it's WAY too soft, so put in under my mattress and now it's made the whole thing too soft and is killing my back to sleep on it. And now after about 2 weeks of sleeping on it the side I'm sleeping on is lower than the other side. It's too late to return it and it actually cost me more than it's advertised for now. It's a total fail, sorry to say.. I'm going to buy an adjustable bed frame so that I can raise the head of the bed up. Boo.

Nice looking mattress wedge, easy to put on bed. Doesn't slide around, and the elevation it provides is so comfortable. Much more functional than my previous wedge pillow. A very good value.

I liked that this mattress wedge had a cover on it but I wasn't impressed with the thickness of the narrow bottom. It never did expand. It is floppy like a piece of material. The top part of the wedge was pretty decent so basically still works to lift your mattress. Seems to stay put.

So much easier to install than the foot risers you put under the feet of your bed. It comes vacuum packed, but quickly regains it shape. I put it under the mattress in the hopes it retains its wedge shape longer. In doing this over, I would have bought the 5 inch wedge over the 7 inch, as the latter has made the bed REALLY high. But it's working fine. You can't feel that you are laying on an incline also. Time will tell if this mattress insert improves my acid reflux, but the previous one did.

Excellent product but would be better if they showed metric measurements. I converted the inch things into metric and then chose the option closest to my double Emma mattress. Once it arrived I opened it and left it for 48 hours to fully expand. Fits well under my mattress and I am very happy with it.

It works and does the job. I was initially worried with the bed reviews saying it's too soft, etc. When we opened it I was worried as well, because it was very soft. If you put it on top of your mattress it's too soft, but if you put it under the mattress it works perfectly and doesn't get as compressed. Odd but there's got to be some physics explanation for it that I don't have.
