I think the 36 months is stretching it a bit far for saying this is suitable for a 36 month old ( 3 yrs old) I would personally feel 0-24 months would be more accurate to be honest. I purchased this item as a gift so t was important that it fitted the size it said.

Bought this for my 2 week old granddaughter who was coming to stay for a few days.Much nicer than I expected. The mattress pad is a good thickness. Baby settles beautifully in it. Excellent solution for co-sleeping. My daughter felt much better about having baby next to her in bed without the normal concerns of doing so. It's easy to move about with baby inside, much easier than lugging a moses basket around. Initially I bought it to stay at my home for baby sleepovers, but my daughter loved it so much that she took it home with her.The case is washable although we haven't done so yet.The only concern I have is the safety of the ribbon that tightens the pod. But we made sure to tuck it away from baby's feet so that was OK.This is an excellent product and I would heartily recommend it. It would be a fabulous baby shower gift.I wish I could have had one of these when my babies were born.

Thought by spending a bit more and also going by the reviews that I would get a decent product for my grandson however, the filling (which comes vacuum sealed) when puffed out was shocking. There were so many splits and gaps in it that when I laid my grandson in it there was hardly any protection at the sides to prevent him from rolling it, it was virtually flat. Really disappointed. Maybe I was just unlucky as the reviews are mostly really good so don't now what went wrong!

This has been a brilliant purchase, our little boy loves it and it has made it much easier for us all to get some sleep in the night!
