Big selection of sour sweets
This is a good selection of one of my favourites, Toxic Waste. The listing says 'USA import', but some of these you can get in the UK, however there are a few items I've not seen before in the UK, so for a sour sweet lover, these are great (sorry I can't bring myself to say 'candy' it's too American!).I'm eating these myself (maybe I'll share with my kids!), but this would make a good present for a sour sweet lover.

Quite a kick, but somewhat familiar
I’ve tasted some pretty sour things in my time, and I knew the nuclear mushroom branding would be hype- but these sweets definitely qualify as ‘very sour’. They do have a really string vinegar-like bite to them, and they can make my eyes water, a little at least. They’ve been very divisive with the kids in our house- the branding, colour and shape were obviously very appealing when the package arrived, and they were all keen to try them straight away, but only half of them wanted to go back for more afterwards. The flavours have silly names of course, but they are fairly straightforward flavours underneath, many of which you can guess just by the colours, the sour apple for example. Despite being US imports that I’d never tried before, they didn’t feel particularly original or unique- there was definitely a feeling of having tried these flavours before, at least in slightly milder circumstances. The outer card packaging makes it a great sweets gift set, good for a sweet toothed person (including grown-ups) who might want to unwrap this on Christmas day. Given the usual price markup on US imported sweets and also on gift sets generally, it’s no great surprise that the thirteen quid price tag (at time of writing) is fairly steep for what’s actually included in the box- less than 300g of actual sweets in total. However compared to some of the high street American Candy stores, I’ve certainly seen worse value than this as well.If you’re looking for a gift that’ll make your sweet-loving friend’s eyes water, this is a good option. I can’t quite give it five stars though due to a slight shortage of originality and of value.
