So my garage door would not close sometimes on sunny days. I figured out the sun was shinning directly on one of the safety sensors. I put one of these on the sensor on the north side of my garage and the problem has been solved!

It worked perfectly. It’s a simple solution to prevent the door from not closing due to sun rays hitting the sensor.

It is intended to shelter the sun rays, allowing the door to close. We have morning sun that prevents the door from closing. We have to get out of car and hold the button on the external keypad, and try to block the sun. So far so good. It’s the best solution, and I’ve tried many.

We had consistent problems with the garage door not closing because of the sunshine. That is no longer a problem. We no longer have to get out of the car to cast a shadow so the door will close. These were easy to install and work very well!
